6pm/Zappos Fans

Because we definitely need one more fashion thread.

I have shopped Zappos some, but 6pm. LOTS. It’s basically my first “go to” in search of any clothing/shoe/bag items.

So, here’s my question. Why can you not “watch” any items or develop a shopping list or SOMETHING that allows you to keep track of items you like or would purchase if the price was right? Is there some disadvantage to them NOT to allow you to do this? Or, am I missing some fabulous link/process that will allow me to do this?!

For anyone who has never visited 6pm. you don’t know what you are missing! Free shipping on all items. Unfortunately, not free returns - but for the good prices, I’m willing to take the risks for the occasional item I have to ship back.

I’m with you abasket. Since zappos and 6pm are owned by Amazon now you would think they could have a wish list. I’ll put things in my cart and watch them but that’s not the best.

I think it’s because they have such limited supplies. I once looked at a brand and had a specific style in mind but by the time I’d looked at the other styles, the one I’d wanted was sold out in my size. I emailed them about this and was told that they have very limited stock. So it probably wouldn’t make sense to watch an item because it would have to be so specific-like maybe they only have 2 pair in that size and style? I’m just guessing.

That said, I buy shoes for both D and I from them, and I’ve never been disappointed. At this point I know what brands fit and feel best on me and I check them anytime I get an email that they are on sale, or I need a pair in a certain style. D is still young and limber and can wear whatever. Great site for “wear it once” shoes for a dance or date…

I LOVE ZAPPOS!!! Ive ordered so much that I am a VIP, so I get free overnight shipping. You just cant beat the free returns.

I just received 5 pink pairs of shoes from Zappos, intending to only keep one. I sent the other 4 back. They must get really low shipping rates to offer free shipping both ways. Do any of their shoes ever go on sale?

I don’t order much from them. I hate to tell you this, partyof5, but I’m a VIP also, and I think it may be a gimmic. On my very first order, they congratualed me on being a VIP.

Sometimes quantities may be limited but I’ve waited on some things for a couple weeks at least and still seen my sizes available. Just depends.

I don’t know if the Zappos items get reduced - 6pm. prices do go up and/or down. Since 6pm is Zappo’s “sale” site, I’d check for your shoe/brand there and see if it or something similar is available. Sometimes something on Zappo’s is also on 6pm in the same style but maybe in another color.

I love 6pm but never tried Zappos, what’s the difference anyway?

Zappos is free shipping, free returns, 6pm does not have free returns, which is why I dont buy much from there. I love that I can regulary order several pairs of shoes from zappos, and send them back no questions asked. I have a very hard to fit foot, so the returns really makes me happy.

6pm is Zappo’s sale/clearance site.

This explains it pretty well:
Zappos.com is for customers that want the very best customer service and the very best selection, with free shipping both ways, a 365-day return policy, and 24/7 customer service that’s above and beyond what you would normally find at any retailer anywhere.

6pm.com is for customers that are looking for a large selection of products at deep discounts. It’s not free shipping both ways, and the return policy is only 30 days. By reducing our costs, this means 6pm is able to offer really deep discounts, as much as 75% off. As we continue to add more selection to 6pm, look for even deeper discounts in the future.

Didn’t know Zappo’s has a blog! Pretty interesting!

Thanks, no wonder prices are so cheap. I got deep discount for slippers. I rarely buy anything else.

I love Zappos (I’m a VIP customer, as well!) I often order multiple sizes/styles of shoes for myself or DS, and I get khaki pants and belts for them, too. And socks.

I order shoes from Zappo’s and the free shipping both ways works for me!! I do also like that you can request to be notified if/when the shoe you want becomes available and that has worked well for me also. I also buy shoes from Nordstrom.com with free shipping. Just today I bought w pairs of shoes on sale at Lord & Taylor. At 25% off, two pairs of shoes that I am keeping for less than $100. I’ve never ordered from 6 PM but my co-worker shops there lot.

I shop both 6pm and Zappos. Some things sell out in my size before they go on sale, so Zappos is my go to place for those items.

Zappos used to have discounted items, but nowadays they move them to 6pm. Easy to do so when all you have to do is to relocate a link. :

I’m wearing gorgeous Aquatalia booties that I just got from 6pm - they are still full price at Nordstrom.

Zappos’ efficiency has always dazzled me (I know it just seems that way, but I swear there have been times when I placed an order, noodled around on the computer for a while, and then heard the delivery service drop the box at the front door), but it makes me wonder why few other services can achieve that level of competence.

Another thing I value about Zappos is how useful the reviews are in determining if a pair of shoes has a chance of working for you. I have fussy feet, wear a half size, etc. I bat about 9 out of 10 on ordering shoes from them, in part by knowing what brands are likely to work and then utilizing the detailed customer feedback.

I haven’t checked out 6 PM in ages, but now I will! Thanks.

When shoes “move” to 6pm from Zappos, the Zappos reviews don’t, unfortunately. There are no reviews on 6PM, so you need to know the brand and its fit. So far, I bat 10 out of 10 on my shoe orders from 6pm… but I just order what I know.

What I do when I can’t find reviews is to see if there are any of that particular shoe on Amazon. They always have tons of reviews for shoes, too.

I discovered something interesting when, under the bad influence of all of you (jk), I went looking on 6pm for some booties I have been coveting. They were marked down significantly but I hesitated in buying them because I wasn’t sure of the size and knew I would have to pay to return them. So I looked on Amazon and there they were at the same price “Sold by 6pm but fulfilled by Amazon” and I could use free prime shipping and free returns. Score!

I also look elsewhere for reviews if I’m not sure of a shoe I want to order. I know the brands and which of their styles work for me, though, so I often order “blind”. Somehow I did not know about the Amazon-6pm connection, Puzzled-thanks!
