8 Things Healthy People Do Every Day - do you???

I actually do number 2 every hour or so. Maybe it’s left over from yoga class or something but I feel like I need to breathe deeply all the way down to the bottom of my lungs and empty them and fill them with fresh air quite often. Sometimes I open the door and breathe deeply without stepping out. Like yawning on purpose. It’s a stress buster and I feel healthier for it.

I also hold my breathe in traffic or stuck in an elevator with someone’s perfume. I don’t like to breathe fumes of anything!

I really need to work on number 1. That’s my downfall.

Does Nutella count as nuts? I think so. Almonds aggravate my kidney stones.
I have never strategized about sitting. I just kind of do it.
I cook fairly often.
I could definitely do better on the other things.

I need to,laugh more. In the old days, tv shows like Seinfeld made me laugh. I could, use help finding current shows with humor.

I try to make other people laugh.

I think that’s treatable - it’s called Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Sorry, couldn’t resist. While volunteering this morning in my reading class, one third-grader was quite antsy and talkative about having to go do a number 2…

Hope this makes someone else chuckle, too.

In my experience, people are generally unreliable, so I ignore #3, unless they are in my close friend circle. I’m pretty good about everything else though, and go figure, I am healthy (knock on wood).

  1. Go to bed by 10: Bed by 9, up at 5:30 AM (until I retire on 4/28; I plan to sleep continuously for the first three months after).
    1. Breathe deeply: When I think about it. Usually when there is a stethoscope on my chest.
    2. Connect with other people: That's what CC is for, right?
    3. Eat nuts: And be one.
    4. Be strategic about sitting: I've reduced my sitting time by using a standing workstation.
    5. Laugh: As much as possible.
    6. Cook: My and DH's main hobby.
    7. Get Outside: We live in AZ, so yes eight months/year, big no to the other four.
