a current student's email?

Hi. a current student from UVa emailed me. I did not receive any likely letter/jefferson scholarship letter before. (which means I am like most applicants: don’t know anything about decisions except the time 3/30 5:30pm)

The email content is pretty general and it is emailed to about 10 students. Here is the excerpt:

“I just wanted to let you know that you can contact me with any questions about the University that you may have … as well as the greater UVA community, and am excited that you are interested in coming here!”

Does that mean anything?

did you request information to talk to a student? There’s almost definitely a link posted on their website.

well since he is already a current student, he told me to email back him.

i misread your question. The answer is no.
As I said, I’m just an ordinary student, did nothing except handing in the app.

I would email them back. Tell them that you’re confused because you have yet to be accepted. And if you are accepted, congrats! You just get to find out a little early! Fun, huh?

If someone gave you an email, it wouldn’t hurt to get back to him
