Earlier this year I was pretty confidnet in my grades and course load. But we just took our midterms in HS(We only have these classes for half the year so we take midterms every quarter.) I did well on all of my midterms but my Algebra IIHon. midterm was difficult and I idnt even finish. If I fail get a c or lower on the midterm should I consider retaking the class? Or would it still be possible to make it into USCGA?-John

it all depends. if your other grades are good enough then one C wont kill you. Although if you are able to take the class again for a new grade (thats what i understood from your comments) then of course take it over.

also, was the midterm just hard, or do you not fully understand Alg II? because if you dont get most of the concepts you will be in trouble in math for a while. might be another reason to retake it.

No I completely understand it, I just took too long…

One bad grade isn’t going to kill you. Are you going to get a C overall in the course, or you just got a C on the midterm? You still have a while to bring up your grade, try and get it to the B range. DON’T STRESS ON IT! I always worried I wouldn’t get in if I got one bad grade on a test, that isn’t true at all. Everybody has bad tests.
