Q: When is the best time to apply to UVa?
A: According to the charts in this article - 1995.
i am confused because it defines 1st generation as “neither parent has a college degree.” I thought I read somewhere a comment by Dean J that 1st gen was defined that neither parent had attended college. There is a difference.
@hcmom65 I have read that same comment as you on a post elsewhere here. I’m curious now too as colleges do define it differently. For instance VTech defines it as anyone who has parents that do not have 4 year university degrees. I have both parents as having done community college so I have fell under “first gen” over there. I’m curious what the case is for UVA now that you mention this difference.
