A male agreeing that rap videos demoralize women

If a male did this speech agreeing that these videos DO demoralize women, would he be mistakenly perceived as gay? I do think that this is a problem, but I don’t want to do it if people are going to think that I am gay… because, the fact is, most guys do watch these videos in lust, and any guy that opposes it might be seen as the weird one.

If I WERE to do this speech anyways, might there be any lines or statement that I could incorporate into the speech that would profess myself as NON-gay??

yes for sure.

Unless you tell them your a Republican, you will come off awkward

Yes…because most Republicans are gay. (Visit gopsaregay.com for more information)

I too agree that rap videos demoralize women. I believe it extends beyond rap videos and into many different things. Rap videos were the first to be pointed out in this respect. I think it might be best to find something else that could be exciting and unique and offer your opinion.

You’ll only be perceived as gay by those are ignorant and dumb, i.e. republicans/conservatives/bible people. Those who matter won’t care and they’ll actually label you as someone who doesn’t womanize and cares for women’s rights.

Mebe? Good luck.

umm, you’re in college? you must be in high school still, right?

Of course they objectify women. And yes, I think it’s awesome.

Mr. Payne knows what it’s about…objectify…not demoralize

y so anti republican? Whats rong with various political viewpoints. And not all rap videos inherently objectify women. While many do, i dnt think women in bikninis necesarilly equates to that. (even though it usually does) but no that belief does not make u gay. y is everyone so concerned with gays and republicans??

Hey, since when was being an object a bad thing? (Joking, joking…)

^ Very funny. =/

so should i do it???

That rap videos demoralize women is open to debate. But what isn’t open to debate is that defending women is a manly thing to do. That it might be considered “gay” is pretty sad, to be honest.

because it is

Gay = Merry.

What’s the big deal?
Scoff

It depends. Do you want to be fabulous and fashionable or do you want to just be another boring straight guy?

I think you are amazing. We had to write fake “bills” to pass before congress in gov and one of the guys in our class did his to require that the female gender be shone more respect and we all love him (hes got lots of guy friends too lol) but no one (of the girls at least) questioned his orientation in the least.

Godsend:
“You’ll only be perceived as gay by those are ignorant and dumb, i.e. republicans/conservatives/bible people. Those who matter won’t care and they’ll actually label you as someone who doesn’t womanize and cares for women’s rights.”

Wow. What happened to you that you are so extremely against all things consevative?

Conservatives are terrorists to our freedom.

“Do you want to be fabulous and fashionable or do you want to just be another boring straight guy?”

um… I guess I want to be fabulous and fashionable, but I DO want to appear as “straight”

What kind of speech is it? Is it like homework for class? or you’re simply having a group rally and you’re going to be up at the podium making this speech. You need the right audience to do this…not a group that would find you sissy doing this… You don’t want your own feelings to be hurt.

Then appear straight. Standing up for women makes you more of a man, not less of one. Godsend, you never fail to amuse me. I wonder what you are like in real life.
