skrlvr-
Have him go to school in the PAST, so the tuition is only $3500/yr. Then have him perfect cold fusion so he can win the Intel Science Award which should cover that tuition.

Grammar should be as changeless as other laws of nature. Just when I’d finally figured out its and it’s, it’s become irrelevant!!! I think we should just let sleeping dogs lay.

Okay, I’m back. Thanks for nothing.

No prob GreyDad–I used to be a perfectionist, but I learned to be less anal retentive as I 've gotten older. (Plus my eyesight is downtrending
) If I got upset everytime I saw a typo or some questionable grammatical choices (other than my own–haha) I’d be typing this from a rubber room.

jym, I am slow too! BTW, I totally agree with menloparkmom–I believe in the multiplicity route. Go for it! And jym, you are totally right about the past tuition factor if you don’t have to adjust your income to the past, as well–but even then–probably a way better deal.

b. If he applies to the school of the past, it might be a hook (how many kids from the future are there?) but at the same time his being from the future might be considered a big advantage so he would also be expected to accomplish more. Do we even have to put down on the application that he is from the future?"

I vote for this one. Besides, you can pull a Back to the Future, eliminate the competition by changing their future (which changes their past), and he’ll be assured of getting in. Congrats – in advance, of course!

Thanks, BAfromBC. Even if skrlvr’s kid has to pay based on old income levels, the little prodigy can bring back several large containers of hi test gasoline. That’ll pay the freight.

BTW, binx. We all talked about you in your absence. We didn’t listen to a thing you said, but we did talk about you. You should be honored.

Violadad, the problem with your priestess D’s ceremonial ritual daggers is that the Pope won’t be able to visit the campus. That could be an advantage at some places but a disadvantage elsewhere.

Binx, we’re calling off the posse. You were minutes late. My how we worried. We had even unholstered our cellphones and umbilical cords, as well as the dads’ version of umbilical cord: GPS.

p3t-
I heard helicopters overhead. I thought THAT was the posse you sent for Binx.

Did you hear how Binx…what, she’s back?! Um, nevermind.

No fun to talk about her in front of her back.

^Can’t believe I just scored another posting for that lame-o comment above. Put another way, THANKS, BINX!! Am having a guilty conscience participating in a thread that enables posting inflation.

Did anyone besides me notice that some of those helicopters overhead were just moms with blades and powerpacks strapped to their backs…

don’t let the dads get off scott-free. I’ve read some powerful hoverdads on CC this year. Equal opportunity inflamers. They make their calls from their offices, that’s all.

no, p3t, we don’t let the dads operate heavy machinery. I think they are on the ground with a bullhorn. We also took away their whips and chains (or make them use them for only fun stuff when the kiddies are away taking SAT prep classes)

OOhh-- me bad, p3t. I see that you are aware we grounded the dads.

Listen, folks, I have to go now. Two related tasks: wire S some money and prepare to teach tonight so it won’t bounce. If I keep reading this, I’ll split my sides laughing, need an operation, and lose my job. Although that might help us in Financial Aid, it will weaken my H’s chances of becoming President in 2012 which will, in turn, hurt my grandkids’ hopes for Y. So, bye. (you can talk)

I’m not sure if anyone’s heard of this, but there IS no Past or Future! According to the Time/Space Continuum, … oh, never mind.

I’m up to 13 Posts! (still 0 Threads, though) This frenzied excitement has done wonders for my stats!

I just found this thread and can be of help.

To those of you who are short of BB&B coupons, we get them about every three days. PM me with your name, address and bank account and PIN numbers and I’ll send you a selection right away. No advance purchase necessary.

My DD can play two musical instruments simultaneously. These vary from playing two keyboards, one with each hand to playing a wind instrument and a stringed one at the same time. And I don’t mean the typical terrible bluegrass guitarists who also play harmonica; I mean two instruments that each require two hands. Her best combination is oboe and double bass. Would this be a sufficient hook?

Quantmech - can you also vary the CD voice so that I actually can appear to be singing on key?

P.S. I Iz a former Ivy League Athlete.

Whew! Such a busy morning.

While S2 was working out with the Red Bulls - so, so adorable in his ittybitty shin guards! - I was busy proofreading his sixty-five page proposal for an Independent Study in Eructation Acoustics. His After-School Puddle Physics teacher has agreed to be his mentor.

I just knew burping the alphabet (Estonian AND English) would come in handy one day.

vballson here. I’ve taken over vballmom’s account. I’ve had to cut her off. She was spending way too much time online (and she thinks I spend too much time on WoW! HAH!).

So what I really want to know is what Ivy League has the highest % of hot priestesses?

Help for Violadad.

Did you ever solve that international dateline thingy, Violadad? Maybe you’ve been distracted by the “Yearning for Yale” quest and you have forgotten one of the important tactics of college admissions:
