A Meta-thread to save us all time

Pizzagirl, some might say that such students, from lowly backgrounds, don’t thrive on this pathway.

Swine that change lives. If pigs could fly…

I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you.

I don’t recall anything about flying pigs in the viewbook, but the hidden ivy of the brits has owls.

Interesting you should ask that. I understand there were some studies done quite some time ago that used a definition of the word “binge” that is not commonly accepted among college students. I will be sure to post a link to a current study if I come across one.

You know, some people keep saying that, and it sounds clever until you think about it, but I disagree. I think lots of anecdotes do constitute evidence.

…and I think that purple cows are really weird, no offense intended. And I think we could hit post #500 before 10:45 EST if we just put our minds to it.

I hear they are making roombas part of the UPromise program, which means that if we, collectively, can purchase approximately $2,618,039.61 worth of these gadges, UPromise will donate $6.48 to one person lucky enough to be selected to the #1 recruited athlete spot at T.I.T.S. This might be at least two servings of food for the Ididarod folks’ dogs.

See, I’m always seeking for new ways to fund that elusive elite education.

Plus, I have a coupon! :)

And by the way (in a shameless ploy to reach that elusive #500 sooner than my bedtime), I am all for whatever Pathway I am on. The rest of you, take some notes and call me when the coffee’s ready in the morning.

Are you sure you don’t mean Woomba? I saw one advertised late one Saturday night a while back.

^^momof3sons, you are obviously just making fun of my post #353, in which I pointed out the difference between my computer’s clock and the CC clock. binx was due back precisely at 12:13 today, and I tried to post at that time. Thwarted! But binx didn’t actually wander back here until 12:45.

Also, whoever, if you didn’t get HarrietMWelsch’s message about S2, look the word up. I had to.

fencersmother, sorry, no roomba service. Get your own coffee.

Oh, nceph,

You just about might be right. Even sacred elixirs can be INXS.

This is WAYY OT, but I went to a concert in AZ in the 80’s where INXS was the opening act for Adam Ant. And I sustained quite a hearing loss just from this one concert. But I loved a song AA did about Clint Eastwood. It wasn’t worth the hearing loss though.

Meanwhile, momof3 and I will, um, rise from the ashes and pile in for goal.

Are we there yet?

But wait - bethie - how can fencersmother sleep when our beds are burning? (Or was that Midnight Oil?)

I’d love to help you reach your goal post, but I have no idea what you all are talking about.

And I’m really sorry I got back late, but it didn’t seem to matter, nobody waited for me anyway. <pout></pout>

And I was going to say something to violadad, but can’t remember what it was… Oh yeah. In your re-cap list for Carolyn, you left the part out about your D in jail.

Folks, may I remind you that in one hour (EST, of course), it will be May 1, D (as in Decision, not Normandy Beach) Day? We need to start immediately discussing the incredibly vital topics, to wit:“To loft or not to loft?” comforters vs. duvets, futons, BB&B coupons, X-long sheets, thread count? These are not, ahem, academic questions, but dare I say life-and-death ones, far more important than mere course selection, judging by the length of CC threads (oops, pun was not intended).

binx- must you fixate on so minor a detail? You’ve missed the entire purpose here. What are you, a lawyer or a ■■■■■?

Darn it, I knew I forgot to finish something. It was my sheet spread, I mean my spread sheet, I mean my scatter rug. Gram. Something.

Does it have to be one or the other?

I think it had to do with counting.

Counting posts. No no no, thread count, that’s it.

Hello? I forgot what I was going to say! What # is this?

How many do I need to graduate to “Member”? Or is that “Member?”
