A Meta-thread to save us all time

nceph, obviously you didn’t do due diligence on the correlation between co-ed bathrooms and binge drinking. Tsk tsk.

Can I change my screen name to “futuretitsparent” without losing my post count (Harriet - I’m gonna catch up!)

Can anyone suggest a college for my neighbor’s D who wants to know the top ten schools where you can Pre-game IN the co-ed bathrooms and not get in trouble with the RAs or campus police?

Just naviance drinks per minute vs number of coed bathrooms to get an answer using the college lookup function

Oh geez, is there a correlation between binge drinking and co-ed bathroms? Can someone post a link to a study that will show that? I’m not really sure how to use Google to search, and I’m not really into doing my own research anyway. Thanks in advance!!

MOWC – When you say “not get in trouble with the RAs or campus police,” do you mean not get pregnant by them? That’s my biggest concern.

Since when is “naviance” a verb???

the English language is going to h***.

I think it was right after Google became a verb.

And what’s the point of waiting 60 seconds between posts? Doesn’t the cc community want my brilliant insights as soon as they pop into my head???

I appreciate your brilliant insights (but only when you agree with me)

Where CAN’T you pre-game in the co-ed bathrooms without getting into trouble with the RAs or the campus police? I’ve never heard of anyone actually getting into trouble with the RAs or the campus police at a top-10 school, unless it’s because they let their parents visit.

While realize it is not in the top 10, so barely worth mentioning, Miami-Ohio seems to have some strict RAs. I’m not sure what the RA/student pregnancy rate is, though. I’ll call the Dean and ask.

On another topic, if a kid takes up soccer the summer before senior year and is pretty good, will Harvard give him a full athletic scholarship?

Most probably. A definite shoo-in, start wearing the T-shirt. Never mind

the T-shirt, get a Crimson tattoo!

Maybe its also time to get your dream car and dream house, you will

be getting so much financial aid !!

A kid at another h.s. in our county got one, so I don’t see why not. He should just be sure to let the coach know he’s “pretty good.” Schools like Harvard have such a hard time finding good soccer players these days.

MOWC-
I think Harvard is currently giving full scholarships for thumb wrestling, Chinese handcuff-pulling and Rubix cube solving. In their music department, however, I hear from very reliable sources here that they are offering full rides for playing the kazoo, didjeridoo dulcimer or musical saw. To play more than one is a definite hook.

I myself am hoping that Harvard gives full scholarships for overpriced latte drinking while surfing CC, because I am so in if that is the case. Barista! Over here – and bring me a muffin while you’re at it.

My son is exceptionally good at both “rock band” and “guitar hero” - we know he needs to specialize - which should he focus on for Ivy League admission?

Is the answer the same if we are trying to focus on merit aid for a second tier school? (Top of the second tier, of course.)

Parents are soooo lame - so whose going to be the last to post on this meta thread?

MODS, where are you? It is really getting snarky in here. I defANitely think so.
Besides, no one has answered my question.
Edit: Yes, “whose” going to be the one?

Heads up, meta threaders, we’re having a May 1st party in the vigil lounge,

don’t miss it!

Harvard: polo–they don’t have enough polo players, not water polo

real polo.
