A NFL running playoff thread

@thumper1 you may get your wish!

Let’s go KC.

Sure looked like the Pats intentionally let the Chiefs score there

Cheaters gonna cheat too!

Nice roughing the passer call for Brady. The KC rusher barely laid a hand on him. Refs want the Pats to win.

Pats will win but the chiefs sure are playing great!

I don’t know why I watch football anymore. The officiating has been horrible all day.

Watching the Warriors-Clippers game Friday night, the refs stunk. There were 7,000 foul calls. Refs aren’t that great in general.

Heck yeah!

What a game! Hope KC can win it in overtime!

What a game. Extremely entertaining!

2nd overtime game today!

Oh well!

You just knew that whoever won the coin toss was going to win that game.

Whomp, whomp.

Tony Romo was so great

I predicted at the beginning that the last team to have the ball would win. And for once I was right!

Mahomes is the real deal, that kid is amazing. Keep him the field, that’s the only way to beat him.

I think that Brady will retire if he wins the Super Bowl this time.

As long as you aren’t a Patriot’s fan. He was very pro-Chiefs.

Time of possession 43:59 to 20:53, that’s insane. 94 plays of offense, KC defense was gassed at the end of the 4th quarter and in overtime.

I don’t know, there was a lot of man love sent Brady’s way.

Agree.

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/when-to-go-for-2-for-real/ is an article about the tactical considerations of going for 2 versus kicking for 1 after a touchdown. The conclusion is that there are still many tactical situations where going for 2 is the better choice, but NFL coaches often choose to kick for 1 instead. Even in the down-by-2 situation after a touchdown late in the game, some NFL coaches chose to kick for 1 (to be 1 point behind) rather than go for 2 (for a chance to be tied or 2 points behind).
