A particular hard case on admission

Simply put, I’ve always lived in the Netherlands and I’m zealously seeking a way to get enrolled into an undergraduate business-related program (preferably finance) at a top school in the US. The snag is that I have practically nothing of value to convince the admissioners of accepting me, mainly because I used to think about things other than school and my future a long time ago. That changed years ago after which I was set paving the way to a Dutch university, which doesn’t require as much as an American university. As of months ago I’ve realized how much I regret my past, because of said aspiration. I don’t doubt I’m suited, so I’m asking for and would dearly take advice on what I can, or rather, should do in order to get myself enrolled into an undergraduate business-related program at a top school in the US, given I’ve got nothing of value relative to others with the same ambition at this point.

If you haven’t already done so, you need to read through everything at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.info/) Then you need to contact the counselors at the advising center in Amsterdam [EducationUSA - Center Profile - Fulbright Center](http://www.educationusa.info/Fulbright-Netherlands) They are expert at helping students from your country find good places to study in the US, and they will be able to tell you which colleges and universities here have admitted students like you in recent years.

Wishing you all the best.
