No change for me.
@mom60 D said her “payment status unavailable” message changed when she updated her routing numbers. She owed both in '18 and '19 and apparently the routing number was not in the system even though she electronically paid.
If only the site would allow me to enter my bank information. But no.
No change here either.
Since we moved and the change of address form is only paper- which they are not processing right now- we decided to go ahead and finish our 2019 taxes. Of course our income went up  We submitted it electronically- took 2 submits to go through- ugh.
Guess getting a little money from the stimulus check - whenever that may be- will lessen the pain of what we just paid.
Right. How did she update her numbers if the system wouldn’t let her in? I’m confused.
No change for me either.
Was there another wave of deposits today?
I checked my status. It said that when they had a date, they would update my status. And that it would be deposited to my checking account. So no money yet.
Did not get a deposit today. Did not check my status yet because getting that error message is just so depressing.
Just checked. Still no change.
A lot of people are hurting that really need that stimulus money. It was a horrible move to close IRS tax payer services and offices. They are an essential business.
It’s going to be next year before many folks get this money. A lot of them do not have bank accounts and are transients. The way they were getting their tax refunds has not not worked for this check.
The intent was for this money to help those impacted by COVID19 get through this difficult time. $1200/adult not nearly enough for the most needy but it’s not getting to many of them.
My son got a refund, so they had his info. On the “where’s my payment” IRS website a few days ago it said his payment was scheduled for today, and he got his money today! (Younger son might not be eligible) Wife and I paid taxes, so we used the IRS website to provide our direct deposit information. Now, every day, the IRS website says they will let us know when a payment date is scheduled. It just hasn’t happened yet. Meanwhile, we think people can’t wait, so we already gave the money away even though we haven’t received it yet. We gave 1/3 to our soup kitchen, 1/3 to meals on wheels, and 1/3 to our free health clinic. I hope we get the money soon!
@NJres thanks for the information that at least some stimulus money came out today.
Very nice of you to donate your stimulus check.
Take care of yourself in New Jersey. I hear from first hand accounts is that it’s really bad there
We are in the same boat as @NJres . I was finally able to enter bank info in the Where’s My Payment site on Sunday morning. A bit later it said we are eligible for a payment, and the site would be updated when it has been scheduled. And it still says the same thing this morning, so I guess it’s going to be next week at the earliest.
We have already donated more than that amount to the local food bank, since we are retired and aren’t facing job loss. And sending best wishes to everyone in hot spots right now. These are scary times!
Payment Status not available. Sigh.
Finally caved and went and checked mine. Ditto. Sigh.
Don’t know the details, but D said she was finally able to log in and update bank information. (She owed in both '18 and '19.) Now says she’s qualified and payment date is tbd.
Just logged in for the 100th time and finally got pasted the Payment Status Not Available!! I was able to add our direct deposit info and then checked my daughter’s; got through on her page also! I just sent her an email to take care of entering her information; hopefully she will be able to get in tomorrow. She didn’t think she was eligible as she worked in the UK for a US company, but still had US taxes., so didn’t even bother checking before. I think my morning email will be a pleasant surprise
It doesn’t matter is one has income at all. Even $0 income people get the stimulus money as long as they meet the other conditions - independent, SSN valid for work in the US, under the max income.
Much to my surprise, tonight it didn’t say status unavailable, it said more information needed. My payment will be direct deposited, it didn’t say when.
For those who are trying to crack the tea leaves code, we owed in 2018 and 19, and filed on 4/7.
