A Question About Summer Programs

I’m interested in a weeklong course offered at a university in my area. It’s a course on Genetic Engineering, CSI, and Bioethics. There is one concern I have. I’m unsure whether or not it’s worth taking it. The course isn’t terribly expensive, and it truly interests me , but will it be worth mentioning on a college application in the future? Thank you.

What school and who runs it?

William Paterson University in New Jersey. Not entirely sure who runs it.

Anyone else?

If it truly interests you, then it’s worth it. But personally, I wouldn’t pay that much for just 5 days, even if I were commuting. It’s your choice though. It’s run by one of the university’s centers, so that makes it a little more credible.

Not sure if its worth putting on a college application since it’s only a few days, but if you find that it’s really good after you take it, then sure, why not put it on your college app? Colleges like to see that you’re actively exploring your interests instead of sitting around doing nothing all summer.
