A remark has changed an AS grade, do I tell colleges?

basically, I got a re-mark that changed my design technology grade from a C to a B. It’s a fairly insignificant AS level that i was dragged through becuase I was told i had to do, and i got 5 other As, so it shouldn’t be a that big a deal. I just feel that a C sorta screams out from the paper, if you follow.

Anyway, its on my transcript and my councellor wouldn’t change it (something about the transcripts being done by a central computer blah blah blah) and i’m not sure if i should let the colleges know from me (with the contact details of the examinations officer if they want to confirm) about this regrade.

I’m having a bit of trouble finding where to email to, i’m applying to the usual round of ivies, and i’m also not sure if it’s worth it.

Opinions?

I think it’s worth telling them; obviously a B looks much nicer than a C and you want to give yourself every chance. As for how to tell them, I assume you received a new mark sheet from your examining body, so you can send copies of the mark sheet together with a letter of explanation (from your counselor maybe?) to all your colleges.

If it’s an unimportant subject it shouldn’t really matter much either way, but I think colleges expect you to inform them of these things, so it might be safer to tell them and be done with it.

kk, i think maybe I will just get a photocopy from the examination office tomorrow and get a quick covering letter to accompany and post it off.
