<p>If a student outside of the College of Arts and Sciences wanted to pursue a second major (or a minor) in the College, would the student have to fulfill all of the curriculum requirements of the College (ie. foreign language requirement, etc.) in order to get the second major or minor?? Or does the student only have to fulfill the general ed. requirements of his own school?</p>
<p>No. My son is in the e-school, and is double-majoring in economics in the college. He will have an engineering degree, and must only fulfill the e-school requirements for graduation (which do not include a language requirement). As best we can tell, this will not somehow “invalidate” his major. (He must, of course, fulfille the college department’s major requirements, of course.)</p>
