<p>So… due to my town’s horrible debt they decided my junior year of all years to cut academic clubs. We still have three football teams, so don’t get me started on that. I’m wondering if this would look bad in the future on college applications that i stopped with some of my activitie.
For example, math team and science olympiad are cut. Yet, there is still academic decathalon. I don’t want to join something new my junior year… Or should I join it?</p>
<p>If you think you’d enjoy Academic Decathlon, go for it. Also, definitely explain in college apps that the academic clubs were cut, and maybe throw in some stuff about why this is bad. You could always look for stuff outside of school too.</p>
