I throw the Bona pad in with all the microfiber cloths I use to dust, wipe down my stainless and my dish rags. When I do my floors it’s slways on one of my big cleaning days so it’s a good sized load going in the wash.
If it’s only the Bona pad I’ve used - I just wait until I have more cleaning cloths that need to be washed. I have a laundry sorter and I throw all the dirty cloths in that until I have enough for a decent sized load.
I have two hampers in my laundry room. One marked, ‘clean’ and the other one marked ‘dirty.’ I have two dozen of the cheap generic micro clothes. By the time the two dry and two wet ecloth mop pads, and the steamer pads are dirty I always have enough for a full load and I always have clean cloths on hand for an emergency clean-up.
We use liquid ALL, unscented. The scents from some of the other detergents were just too much for us and would set off allergy attacks. Everyone in the household tolerates ALL unscented fine. Phew!
I use Tide free and clear, All free and clear, or Method.
Random info. - I bought towels at Nordstrom, and the lady who rang me up specifically said NOt to use Tide if you want the towels to be soft.
@surfcity - the itchiness and rashes from Tide are commonly only found in the scented varieties. I’d be surprised if you had them with the unscented (aka free and clear) variety. White bottle.
I don’t bother with anything else, and even though it’s regularly pricey, I stocked up when it was on sale, and also got rainchecks, so I am set for years.
Funny, since the pups left the nest, we aren’t using nearly as much detergent.
Question about ecloths…is there something specific about the ones linked above? I have microfiber cloths that I use and am unsure if these are the same things as ecloths or if I should try those specifically.
I used the toilet bowl cleaner made with bleach to clean the mold off the shower caulk. It clings and I don’t need the cotton strips. Apply before work and rinse off when I get home.
ecloths are not microfiber. They are cloths that have a very mild abrasive character to them so they take off any dirt from glass surfaces without the need for any glass cleaner and without damaging them.
for most things, I buy whatever brand name is on sale lol. I do use Murphys Oil Soap to clean my cabinets and other woodwork twice yearly and love my Shark vacuum and steam mop. Usually Tide or All for laundry detergent, and whatever the cheapest dryer sheets, glass cleaner and furniture polish is available. I’m really feeling like a novice here even though I’ve been cleaning my house, other houses, and motels going on 45 years now.
