Hi so i accidentally submitted an old draft of my why USC essay yesterday for EA. The newer one i thought I submitted wasn’t on the downloaded doc that the USC received, just the old one. I emailed my regional admissions officer but I genuinely think im cooked. I dont think theyll let me change it. has this happened to anyone else???710)
I expect that this is probably a relatively common issue. This is a stressful time for high school seniors, and stress can lead to issues such as this. How different are the two versions of your essay?
USC, assuming that you mean the one in California, with a 12% acceptance rate is a reach for pretty much everyone anyway. Make sure that you apply to at least one and preferably two safeties, keep your budget in mind, look for a good fit, and you should be fine.
If you get in you will know this didn’t matter. If you don’t get in, you will probably never know why, but you will most likely have other very good options to choose from (assuming that you make sure that you apply to solid safeties).
