ADMISSION DECISIONS FALL 2016 (CLASS OF 2020)

I was denied. They were my top choice.

Denied but I’m not surprised because I didn’t write the “Why Tulane” essay

“Null” still. Don’t want to be presumptuous, but I’m getting an awful vibe from that.

Rejected as well. My first rejection out of 20 schools.

I was correct, or there is at least some sort of correlation. Denied. I never went “under review” after deferral, so I’m questioning the fairness of my evaluation, but I’m moving on. Honors College at Alabama will probably be the school I attend. :frowning:

DD and S both denied.

Wait listed for my D. Will know the final outcome no later than June 1.
Do any one how many students are normally wait listed at Tulane?
Another question. So until you get admission, we will not know what possible merit aid a student may get?
Thanks.

Denied. Heartbroken but not really surprised.

Ouch. Tough results thus far. So sorry :frowning:

But it does seem today is decision day, though its possible that results could possibly dribble in, as in past years. Not sure, but it seems more like they are using today as release day, like the other schools I mentioned above. Will wait for @fallenchemist to weigh in with his thoughts.

My Gibson says “Your Application Status is currently not available.” What should I think?

Waitlisted. Absolutely shocked.

Rejected, it was supposed to be a safety

DD waitlisted!!! Woo!!! I know it seems ridiculous, but I’m actually very happy with that. Still a chance, albeit not a large one . . .

Another waitlist here for DD - wow! Did anyone get accepted RD?

Got accepted RD last week–it came unexpectedly, really. Excited!
To anyone who was waitlisted or rejected: you’re still a great student, and you’re going to end up somewhere great. There’s something awesome in store for you!

rejected but got into boston college yesterday and northeastern several days before? a little confused but not upset at all

Waitlisted after being deferred. 31 act, 3.61 gpa, handwritten letter to them and lots of demonstrated interest

S got rejected with ACT 32 and GPA 3.93 (0-4 scale). A bit confused.

Waitlisted after deferral. Do you think it’s still worth visiting if I live in California? It’s just expensive and I know many didn’t get accepted last year off waitlist

It does indeed appear that Tulane waited to release most if not all of the remaining results at once. Certainly that is a change from the past, but there you go. I guess we will see if there are still decisions released next week as well, but either way at least people are getting information so they can move on with their process.

It makes me even more interested in what this class is going to look like. It must be very competitive this year based on feedback students seem to be getting. I know there is no good way to study it exactly, but I wonder what the feeling is as to how much the USNWR bump from 54 to 41 affected things this year.
