[]Extracurriculars (place leadership in parentheses): Debate (captain for two years and awards at every tournament my junior year, though high performing every year. Debater of the year my freshman and sophomore year and highest performing team member as recognized by the state my junior year). []Job/Work Experience: Worked at a daycare for all four years and also as a tutor for calculus and German.
[]Volunteer/Community Service: Service Trip to New Orleans and hardcore social justice work at my school (the focus of my common app essay). I come from a conservative area (phoenix) so a lot of my work was controversial and whatnot.

[]Essays: My why tulane essay was the essay I put the most work into of any essay I wrote for colleges. My common app essay was super good tbqh.

[]Additional Rec: Minister from my social justice mission who works in New Orleans, probably good

Reflection:
[ul]
[]Strengths: My connection to New Orleans probably played a huge role, also my recs were top notch and I didn’t skimp on my essays either. Tulane certainly had my strongest application.
[]Weaknesses: Probably my lack of SAT II tests, but I am against them so I didn’t take them; it didn’t really end up mattering.
[]Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected:
[]Where else you are applying or have already applied: American University, Grinnell, Macalester, Vanderbilt, Washington and Lee, and some others I didn’t care much about (Hofstra, James Madison, and University of Arizona). I got accepted to every single one.
