<p>Hypothetically speaking, if a ED student had a 4.0 GPA, what would his/her chances be of getting deferred to regular admissions? Would the adcom just assume that the grades would remain high and make their decision based on everything up to that point? Are there any other reasons for deferrals?</p>
<p>Depends on the other factors… your essay, ECs, recs. High GPA + arrogance or some other really bad attribute showing through everything else = rejection. But you won’t have to worry about that =p</p>
