^^^ same here.

I luv’d ya lafayette…but our union was not supposed to happen and i deeply regret this.

nothing here yet - how did you find out? website says decisions are not put online…

The Admissions Committee has carefully reviewed your application for admission to Lafayette College for the fall semester of 2010. You are a strong candidate and were given serious consideration within the highly selective pool of international applicants for admission and financial aid. We recognize your solid academic preparation and achievement and your potential to do successful course work at the post-secondary level.

Regrettably, we are unable to offer you a place in our class of 2014 since we cannot offer you any financial assistance. While we realize this is not what you had hoped to learn, we truly appreciate your interest in Lafayette and wish you much success in your future educational endeavors.

got this email today. yeah being an international sucks. Although I have been living in NJ for 4 years, still classified as an international.

UW GPA: 3.68
W GPA: 4.04
SAT1(Highest combined): CR730 M780 W700
SAT2: Math2 780 Physics 760 World History 750

I guess my stats are not that strong for Lafayette? So disappointing…

Rejected too

yeah yeah same here, same email…
and my test scores are nowhere near as hwanghee’s, so apparently it was an easy decision for 'em

hwanghee24,
My condolences. Your stats look very good. However, LC does not claim to be ‘need blind’ for international students. It’s an unfortunate reality of today’s economy.

Good luck to you.

Did only the international students receive decisions thus far? I haven’t gotten anything.

rejected too, same damn letter

rejected as well with the same email!!! he he… didn’t have any hope…so no regrets… :)

Same email for me too. :/

haha, same for me ;(

Well, all of us are academically decent but financially poor, according to the college.

Lafayette generally contacts internationals and scholarship winners first. RD applicants should hear from admissions around April 1. At least that’s how things have worked the last couple years.

Unfortunately, few American colleges are in a position to be “need blind” for international students. Lafayette is generally quite generous in terms of financial aid with those accepted. Not much comfort for those who are not accepted, I know.

Hmm…wow Hwanghee24, your stats are very impressive. I’m actually surprised you did not get into Lafayette! I’m still anxiously waiting for my letter/email…

All decision letters for students in the USA should be mailed out by the end of this week!!

Wait-listed. :</p>

so you get the decision in the mail or by email?

Regular mail. Only international students are notified by e-mail.
