ugh. people I know just got accepted. they were deferred and checked their portal and it updated. this is killing me!!!

Nothing for me. Deferred on 1/31 and still haven’t heard back. Applied close to 6 months ago and still haven’t received a clear decision yet people who applied 2 months ago have heard back their decision. Just amazes me in the length of all of this. Everyone is all worried about the scholarships they will receive etc, meanwhile I’m just hopeful I will actually hear back.
nothing for me either! was deferred on 12/15 and still haven’t heard back! Its crazy to think they could make us wait this long.
I just hope not hearing back today doesn’t need mean we all get waitlisted/ rejected in the next round. I have worked my butt off to show OSU how dedicated I am to my academics and to gaining admission by sending in a strong mid year transcript along with a couple of additional letters of recommendation and constant contact with the regional recruitment manager for my area. All I can do at this point is pray and try not to stress out more than I already have. Through this entire process with OSU I definitely learned how important patience is. Best of luck to everyone. Also good things come to those who wait so let’s try to think positively!
I was deferred on 12/14 and still have not found out which sucks but i hope the waiting will be worth it
@STEM2017 - my daughter moved on too, no matter what the decision ends up being. Her stats were great and she to got into better ranked schools, honors colleges, and many with plenty of merit aid. She only applied to OSU for the Morrell scholarship since she has been very active with diversity and wanted to really be apart of that there. But their admission process is abysmal and since she was deferred, no one in Morrell could even look at her application because admissions has strung her along for months, past scholarships options. She was the last group in EA and still now waiting. When other schools are enticing you and really want you there, it is easy to forget about a school like this. If we were in state, we may have held out. Good luck!

does anyone know if they release periodically throughout the night or if they drop them in a single batch?
@ohiokid22 in the past it seemed that the portals updated throughout the night, but I’m not completely sure.
Has anyone who has been deferred heard back yet today? Also for those who were deferred and heard back in the last round, were your portals updated first or did you receive an email first? Did you get the email the day after decisions came out? I’m super confused because someone I know that was deferred checked their portal and they were admitted but I thought they sent decision over email before the portal for deferrals. Please let me know!!!

Hi everyone! I was deferred on 1/31 after applying on 10/08. And I finally heard back today that I was… accepted!! I am beyond excited. Please stay hopeful everyone because I was really beginning to lose hope but it all works out in the end!

My daughter just checked the portal and she was accepted. Very exciting!! She had been deferred on 1/31 after applying early action. We’re out of state. Animal Sciences. 4.0 GPA weighted. 1280 SATs. Good luck everyone and hang in there.
