@patbelmarie congrats on your acceptance. Were you updated on the portal or from a email regarding your acceptance? And if so, about what time did this occur? Thanks!
@datdudetd I actually looked at this thread a couple hours prior to checking my portal. It was updated as of about 9 pm but I’m not sure when it initally changed to an acceptance. No email notification yet
@classof20192023 okay, thanks for the info. And of course, congrats!!!
I was accepted last round after being deferred on 1/31 and I got an email around 2am but didn’t check the portal till the next morning (obviously I didn’t find out till the morning as I was already asleep lol). Still deferred ?
Same
just a question but should I be worried if I haven’t been accepted yet? I applied on 11/14 so I was hoping I’d be somewhat early for reg decision releases. My scores are good with a 30ACT 4.1 GPA, im applying to comp and info science
@ca1171 I’m wondering if people who sent in additional info/letters of rec after being deferred got pushed to the back of the pile or something lol. I just sent in 2 letters of rec a few weeks ago one of which was from a senior year teacher who wrote a letter specifically tailored for OSU. I also sent in one extra letter of rec on Tuesday which was also geared toward OSU. This is my first choice school (as if it wasn’t already obvious haha) so I’m fine with waiting it just sucks to see all the kids from my area who are posting for their friends that committed to OSU! I’m hoping the reason most of us are waitinf longer for decisions is due to the amount of additional info sent in and nothing else. It stinks that we pay OSU for an EARLY decision, just to get deferred the very last possible day that we can hear back and now we are getting pushed all the way to the end of the RD notification deadline too. So annoying
@oj2018 Exactly, it is especially frustrating seeing students who have lower stats/GPAs/Test Scores get admitted, yet I’m still deferred. I hate to complain, but it has been such a stressful process :((
I’m still deferred! ah well
did any in-state students that were deferred get admitted yesterday? or was it mostly out of state students
Finacial aid?
I don’t know if this is widely known, but OSU does not consider superscored ACT/SAT scores for merit scholarship determinations. . That could be one reason why the awards look inconsistent.
I received the national buckeye and provost in the mail about a month ago. I just paid my acceptance fee, and when I went to view my scholarships in the portal, nothing showed up. Has anything showed up for anyone yet?
Does anyone know if there will be a release of decisions this Friday?
