Ugh. Reached out to admissions to ask about when next round of decisions would be and they just said by the end of month. So annoying because sometimes they actually give you the date.
I’m really hoping there’s another wave this week, because I remember last year a bunch of students were waitlisted during the very last week of March (around March 30th). So hopefully there is still another wave before that happens
In my sons acceptance email, all that was included was a link to pay the acceptance fee and did not include any financial details. Do the financial details of the acceptance come via snail mail?
@jcdoyle fin aid hasn’t been released for any accepted students yet. It will be coming soon.
@ca1171 do you remember if they did a wave in the week between the mid March wave and the March 30th wave last year?
Just checked last year’s page. They did have a round on March 23rd before the March 30th round. Praying I hear back if they do decide to release decisions Friday!
does anyone know of people that heard back the last day of March that was accepted (in previous years)? Now I’m kind of freaked out if I hear back the last round I’ll be rejected or waitlisted!!
Thank you @cllp2023
Called admissions today and was told that S (EA but deferred) should hear back by the end of next week. Said info will be on the portal followed by USPS.
in state STILL deferred.
@ntpro13 me as well, it seems like a lot of in-state students are still deferred
I’m hoping that all of these in-state aren’t being held back to eventually just be denied so then they can fill more people at regional campuses…
It’s unlikely there are very many spots available as was referenced in the chart a few weeks ago. My son’s friends that were deferred have moved on.
@collegedadto3 what chart are you referring to?
pretty sure they’re down on # of students who have paid their admission fee (by approx. 6%) but up in number of acceptances compared to this time last year. I think that’s a good sign if anything…
I’ll try calling admissions tomorrow to see if they’ll tell me if there’s a wave this week. Sometimes they are straight forward, other times they are very vague/avoid the question
@ca1171 yes they were very vague when I called. I believe there will be a wave this week. Last year around this time they had 23,773 acceptances, which means they accepted 1,215 in the last rounds. Considering the enrollment for this year down so far it is very much possible they will accept more students in the last rounds this year.
@ca1171 I would appreciate that. I have quit calling over the weeks as I can tell that they are annoyed from all of the calls. I understand that but it’s also their job. we’ve all spent $60 and are hopeful to be accepted and have waited months and still haven’t been given a clear answer. I’m still hopeful but slowly losing hope…
@datdudetd I’m in the same boat as you. I think it’s extremely unfair that we paid $60 for EA to hear back EARLY. Fine we got deferred, but you would think they would make it a priority to get back to us as quickly as possible considering the fact we put in the effort to get our application in early. Definitely slowly losing hope but hopefully we will all hear back with what could possibly be the best news ever! Trying to remain positive but it is definitely very hard when you see all the people around you getting accepted and seeing how excited they are! So stressful I’m just praying I hear back Friday, I just want a clear answer at this point.
I didn’t know OSU did a round before the final March 31st! Perhaps I’ll finally hear back!
