I absolutely know that nothing is free. What I know is that in State students tuition hasn’t gone up since 2015. I also know that as an out of state student, tuition has gone up every year. Therefore, I am one who is paying for and subsidizing those “free” iPads. So yea, I have a problem with those complaining about the version of the iPad they will be getting.
@bhs1978 ultimately OSU is a state school, therefore with any of them their first priority is the residents of Ohio, sucks that tuition is so high out of state, but I learned from applying to UT Austin and Georgia Tech they’re main goal is to improve their state. Unfortunately though some of these state schools have become insanely comptetive.
@ohiokid22 believe it or not I understand how taxes and out of state tuition works. No complaints there. We chose Ohio State and have been very happy with that choice. It’s a great school and I congratulate all who have been accepted and wish them best of luck with their choices and decisions.

Does anyone know if the buckeye bound events are worth attending if you’ve already seen campus/know a lot about the program you’re going into? I figure I might attend if it’s a way to get to know future students.
I havent seen any comments about receiving the National Buckeye Scholarship, Trustees or Provost. My son who is a sophomore received his in a letter dated Feb 12. Still waiting/hoping for scholarship for my daughter who was accepted in Nov…Has anyone heard/received anything yet??

My son received the National Buckeye and Maximus both about a month ago. Accepted in the second wave in late December/Early Jan
Adding this was sent hard copy in the mail received January 8th. Nothing was emailed not appears anywhere on his portal.
What are the dates for regular decision notification? Does anyone know? Really praying that I get in after being deferred on January 31.
Ive heard of National Buckeye and Maximus being received months ago but wondering if they are completely independent of Nat’l Buckeye and provost and trustee? Maybe they tier them?
My son just received Provost merit award today in the mail. He was accepted in November EA. He is in state, 32 ACT.

@clip2023 addressed to student. My son has early release from school and is home by 1:30 p.m. every day. He decided to pay his deposit today. So he is officially a Buckeye!!!
