What’s the earliest housing application date someone got this year? Ours was 9/13 and I’m just hoping we are close enough to the top to get into Haas Hall.
9/13 was the first day that it opened so you should be at the top. We got ours done that day too. Not sure if they go by timestamp on the day or if it is just everyone on that day will be first.
Definitely timestamp
also interested in Haas but did not get accepted/pay deposit until mid October. is there any hope for a single with that date stamp?
There aren’t many singles to start, and they go quickly-first day or two. You need to take a dorm tour between now & early April; decide Southside or Northside, and literally rank EVERY dorm.
Hullabaloo & Northside Modulars are the quickest to fill.
Dorm selection is hands down THE MOST hectic, stressful thing we encountered during 4 years at A&M.
We found signing up for a dorm move in slot to be particularly trying as well. Note for all of those from OOS…try to get the earliest morning slot you can. It helps with parking, but also you might only be doing heavy lifting in 90 degree temps rather than 115 degree “feels like” temps!
Wondering if the Engineering Honor students be assigned to rooms in Lechner and McFadden Hall?
McFadden & Lechner are UH dorms , not EngHnr.
EngHnr students must apply to LLC-they are not required to live in HNR housing.
EngHnr live in Engineering Village on Southside.
Are Engg.honors results out?
No clue? Doesn’t seem like it.
Have student contact the person listed on Engineering Honors page.
Still waiting on EH too. Do they send declines as well as acceptance?
@nansri and @AETX, my daughter’s EH application still says “Under Review.” I don’t know for sure, but I assume the app will eventually be changed to accepted or rejected. Not sure if an email will go out or not, but you can ask your student to check their application status:
I’ve heard that sometimes a completed course will all of a sudden disappear from a student’s transcript. Has anyone else heard this? If I print off an unofficial transcript after each semester would that suffice as proof if needed or would it have to be an official transcript? Talking about current A&M student. Thought maybe someone else with a current student or more experience could help here?
If you mean the transcript required for the EH application, the instructions in the application say that it can be unofficial.
anyone get into university honors yet?
also, does anyone know anything about the academic achievement scholarships?
*just know that UH requires living in Lechner and/or McFadden. UH usually doesn’t send acceptances until right around the start of housing selection.
we would be ok with that. it might be our only shot at a Northside mod.
Anyone on this string committed from OOS?
Heads up, a mom in the Aggie FB group says her son was notified of Engineering Honors acceptance today. He is a National Merit Finalist. My son’s EH portal still says Application Under Review. Hopefully they are just rolling them out over time.
Son got Engineering Honors today as well!
