As @52AG82 mentioned, you dont get to pick the dorm during NSC. However, both times we stayed, it was a modular dorm. There was also a choice of White Creek Apartments.

If you filled out/signed the contract and paid the deposit before yesterday and got Permanent housing, you have a dorm room.

I think I read it somewhere in this forum but I canât seem to find it. Is it sometime mid-February that TAMU comes out with its Financial Aid/Scholarship package offerings? Will our kids find that info updated in the Howdy Portal or will they receive an e-mail letting them know of the update?
It will start posting in late February, can post even thru summer. Unless NMSF, being from an identified Century Scholar School, in the Corps, donât expect anything (certainly no large amount)-at least as far as scholarships.
Donât know a thing about FinAid. But it will all post in portal. Student needs to be checking once a week, daily from spring break on.

@3princesses4frogs What does the AIS acceptance look like? Is it an official email/ letter posted? Or, is it literally just the little chart that looks like this:
Once AIS updates - it will be a banner at top of AIS. If you just got 7 tabs, AIS usually takes 24-48 hours to catch up.

Does anyone else AIS âmanage applicationâ page still show in application âunder reviewâ? I remember my older daughters saying WHOOP, youâve been admitted in that spot? Our AIS portal updated with youâve been accepted and a letter and saying the next step is to register for NSC. Daughter needs to setup TAMU email correct and if so, how? Their portal is not very user friendly ;-).
Mine was auto admit back in August, but the change to WHOOP-admitted took a few days longer than the AIS admit message, if I remember correctly. I think they have to sign up for NSC before they can set up their email but someone can chime in if thatâs wrong. I know she set it up on her own so not sure exactly how/where in the portal.

It said Whoop youâve been admitted etc in AIS and the major changed. I think I saw some chatter that if it changes to gen studies that indicates gateway

Hey all! My son just recâd an âApplication Acknowledgmentâ email with his Universal Identification Number (UIN) to activate his NetID. He did this months ago!? This process is so weird and unlike any other college! ;))
Still nothing is changed in his portals. He just received 7 tabs yesterday so maybe weâre not being patient enough but to receive this email feels weird.
Would it be to maybe setup hisâ TAMU email account?

Oh so he got Gateway. Weird that itâs giving you a task already done. Just have him confirm it through the steps they gave him to see if it kicks back âalready createdâ or something.

Confused parent needing some help. We were completing Phase 1 of the housing application but now it requires signing a contract. Iâm not sure if this is binding and there is still a possibility that my daughter will live off campus. If I sign the contract does my daughter have to live on campus?
From what I understand, she has until May 1st to back out of the contract. You will lose your deposit, you can back out until then.
