The title pretty much. I’m receiving so much conflicting information and I’m confused. Thanks for any help.
If Cornell wants this, then yes. Call them and ask.
Usually the admissions portal will have a box for open items. I agree call and ask.
For what it’s worth, they say you can but don’t need to.
If there are any red flags, you might want to do that at year end they don’t take an action you might prefer to know about now.
“As an early decision applicant, first quarter grades and the Midyear Report are not required and will not appear on your application checklist. Once your first quarter and/or midyear grades are available, you are welcome to ask your school counselor to submit them to Cornell. Although not required, they may be helpful to the selection committee.“
Can you ask your guidance counselor?
If they need anything, they will indicate that on the portal or via email. Some high schools are on a quarter or trimester schedule, and have reports ready before ED decisions are released. Other times, admissions might ask the high school counselor for a “progress report” on grades before a grading period is done.
But if you were admitted already, a new mid-year report is not typically requested by most colleges. Most colleges will expect to receive a final, end-of-year transcript, however. This is to ensure the student did not get an acute case of “senioritis” once the acceptance came through.
