Adobe Reader Help!

I’ve been trouble with our Adobe reader programs. I get the little message to “update” on the bottom of my screen, but don’t have success updating - get errors messages. We also have been having trouble viewing and ESPECIALLY printing any PDF’s - they WILL NOT print!

When I look under add/remove programs, it looks like we have a variety of Adobe programs - 9, 9.3, Flash Player 10, Shockwave Player 11.5, Adobe Air, FlashPlayer 10 Active X…

Any suggestions? Should I try to remove any or all of these and then re-download from the Adobe site? I’m frustrated…

Also, would the fact that I’m using Google Chrome have anything to do with it? I hate IE now, and IE seems to hate our computer.

I have the same problem, whether I use Firefox or Google. I used to be able to “print” using the Adobe PDF program (I’ve got the professional version) which would turn a web page directly into a PDF by using the “print” function.

Or I could turn a document (like a Word doc) directly into a PDF using “print.” I just tried it and I can’t do that anymore. I can “save” the Word doc in the Adobe format though.

My error message talks about a “spooler” issue. I haven’t had time to chase it down.

We have the “spooler” problem on occasion with our printer too! The only way I have been able to take care of it is to restart the computer a couple of times. I have no idea why this issue comes up AND I have no idea why restarting the computer takes care of it!
