didn’t get into any colleges. what is a good option??
- applying UNO or SELU (low ranked public univs) and studying for around 10k an year.
- studying engineering colleges in Nepal (i am not quite sure about any other than pulchowk, and will be bloody hard to get there.
- applying for NIT’s engineering (india). I am not quite sure about indian institutes, and it will cost around 17-18lakhs.
- wait until spring window and jump into some public state universities like many do.

Anybody who has got any knowledge of NITs, nepal engineering colleges vs us public univs??
can’t decide anything now!!!

Will be thankful for any suggestions.

Is it 17-18 lakhs at NIT per year or total for four years?

Nit tution 1.75lakhs per sem
8 sems will be 14lakhs
50-75thousand hostel charges per year

I say consider NIT. If you are into engineering, NIT is quite reputed and would be economical compared to the US. But its your choice to make.

1> go to KU

2> What are the chances you take a year off, work your butt off and re-take the SATs, score higher and re-apply? That is assuming you have pretty decent GPA. One of the most important thing is your GPA, that shows that you have the ability to succeed in college. A college cannot accept you without a reasonable chance of you succeeding. Once you have that locked down, then make sure you get a stellar SAT score, and start working on your essay again. Writing is hard, writing well is harder. Keep working on your essay, and get a document that is so well written, and so mesmerizing that it’ll impress anyone who reads it.
