Aeropostale cloths are bad quality?

I’ve been told that they are, and if they are I better not buy any shirts from them

I’m wearing a shirt from there today. The quality seems okay to me.

I’m wearing Aeropostale shirt, shorts, and sandals lol. It seems A-ok to me:D

It’s not the greatest quality, but it’s not as expensive as some other brands.

Well what I mean by bad quality is that they “break down” easiley

its not bad quality…its just cheaper compared to otherstuff… and probably wont last as long…

like if u compare aeropostale to like abercrombie or polo… youll see the difference… but u also pay alot more.

meh. they’re cheap. if you don’t have the cash for a lacoste polo, by all means get one at aeropostale and no one will think any worse of you.

You only get what you pay for. I have a lot of Abercrombie polos, and trust me, they are built tough. I have a few from 2001 that still look great. Also have a 2000 A&F jacket that looks almost new–and I wear it almost every day in the winter!

I’ve never owned anyting from Aero, so I can’t speak firsthand about the quality. I’ve heard it’s not the greatest though.

IMO, the “fake” preppy brands are alot nicer than the real ones. Alot of the preppy polos I have seen are just one plain color, if you want something like that you can get one for Abercrombie and AE and probably for a cheaper pricer. I think that most “real” preppy cloths are very plain.

There is nothing wrong with Aeropostale clothes, and stores like that are very good for trendier items, but IMO it is better to spend more money on a few classic items that will last your whole life.

Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, and J. Crew polos will last a lot longer than A&F or any other chain store that sells polos.

“You only get what you pay for.”

Aint that the truth. I still have some old $5 Old Navy 4th of July 2001 T-Shirts that look brand new and I still wear them.

From personal experience, almost everything I’ve gotten from A & F has fallen apart within a year or so of “normal” wear. The things I’ve gotten from Aero last longer for me and personally I like the aero polos, they fit me pretty well and you can get them for good prices! But I seem to be the exception rather than the rule.

Yeah, but most people do not buy the shirts for its quality, rather for its name. Brands like vineyard, ralph lauren and such don’t even have good looking shirts IMO, well i’ve only seen the ones online. AE has plenty of nice cloths, and there sizes are perfect, you can get a nice shirt for about 40 bucks and a polo for about $30?? The prices are substantially less than brands like ralph lauren and look better as well. A and F is considered expensive by most, however I persoanally don;t mind the prices because the clothes look good.

However, A and F’s website, catalog, etc…are…well they should wear more clothes. I mean your trying to sell clothes not your freackin body.

Oh yeah, I realized something about the whole high quality thing. New shirts/polos are released off in brand name stores. You will most likely find some more shirts that you will like, so you don’t need a shirt to last for 5 years even if it’s your favorite shirt, because by then you’ll have a new favorite shirt. However, if you do not shop often then it makes sense to buy these shirts.

off = often

aero tends to sell ‘cheaply made’ clothing, but it’s better than other places, and for the price i really don’t think it’s a big deal

I agree with you, Fusionice662, A&F’s models don’t model clothes…they model asses and chests.

I swear, sometimes when I walk into an A&F store, I feel like I’m looking at soft porn.

Bah. I’m a namebrand junkie. I love lacoste, polo, ae, j crew…all that junk. Aeropostale is ok. I don’t think people really know the difference.

In that case I should bust out my uncle’s old school “Izod-Lacoste” with the blue crocodile. I wonder if it’d be considered a classic, or just a knockoff.
