Algebra II is Getting Worse

I got my 'Quest' back today and I got a 88%. Then we took a quiz and I got an F. I don't what's wrong. I do extra problems in the book, and ask for help in the class. I'm not really a test person, but I don't think that's the reason.

We have a test tomorrow and I'm freaking nervous. I decided doing extra practice problems but I'm afraid that tomorrow I'm going to bomb it. I dropped down from a 103% to a 83%. At this point I feel like crap and don't know what to do. I just know in the long run, I'm going to get worse and worse.

Any suggestions? Anything is fine.

Make sure you get a good nights sleep even if it means you can't study as much as you would want. Otherwise, you will not internalize the concepts you are reviewing. Also, try to abstract the general ideas of the various mathematical ideas and see what deeper meaning you can extract. This may be more beneficial to you than trying to plug and chug through the problems and it may allow to adapt to new types of problems that require you to extrapolate and apply the foundations of what you are learning. I hope this helps!

Yeah what Michael2 said, it helps if you understand why you do a problem the way you do instead of just memorizing what you do.

Oh okay thanks.

What are you learning?

Right now we are doing Algebra I review with new Algebra II topics. It's embarrassing lol
