Allure of drinking/getting drunk

^yah that’s pretty much the reason, as well as the fact that most people’s lives suck so they need an outlet.

Off-topic but interesting: Weezy doesn’t drink. Who’d have thought?

if i had his money, i too would pick other drugs besides alcohol

^ keep lying to yourself if it makes you feel better

I like that a drunk video gamer tried to criticize my social life up there.

I also like that, at the time he posted it, I was smoking weed with the girl I’m banging .

How do you gamers say it? Pohned?

Nah, if you correctly want to boost your e-ego, the correct term is “PWNED YOU LOSERS TALK ALL YOU LIKE BUT I AM SO BETTER THAN YOU PIMPLY NERDS LOL GET LIVES LOSERS. BRB GETTING TANG.”

It is fun, don’t get me wrong. But my mum and most of my family are alcoholics so I’ve never found the appeal of alcohol because I’ve seen them try to quit using it.

There is an acute lack of profanity in that statement.

I agree with this statement because I have a personal experience with it.

One of my friends, who only drinks every once in a while, claims that drinking helps him talk to girls. Is he going to depend on alcohol for the rest of his life when he talks to girls? Oh, and then there’s the hangover he complains about the next day. And the throwing up. (We had a friend throw up in someone’s car once…)

If you need alcohol to be social, then you may eventually become dependent on it during those situations. I don’t see how that’s a good thing.

Not everyone depends on alcohol to be social; some depend on it to be stupid with their friends, possibly placing themselves in danger. However, what makes the addition of alcohol so much funner? (this is a question awaiting an answer). Are you losing touch with your friends and need some common ground (alcohol) to keep you together?

^This is a very valid point. I noticed midway through this year that my “friends” were fantastically boring to be around when I wasn’t smashed, and that it was rare for conversation to reach a level of sophistication beyond “where is the liquor coming from.” At this point, though, it was too late to do anything about it, so I just decided to stick it out until college.

^agreed.
alcohol to me in general just tastes bad

Lol I only asked because I saw his BET interview and he said “I can’t stand the taste of it” but yet he OD’s on cough syrup before concerts and can always be seen with a few ounces of weed on him.

STREET CRED TAKIN IT TO THE NET?

If lowering inhibitions is the reason, then I really don’t see the point. My friends have had plenty of fun without alcohol, and most of them don’t have any inhibitions to begin with.

I have a lot and I still wouldn’t use alcohol to deal with it. And I don’t have any around my friends. I really, really don’t want to have every little get-together have to do with alcohol. Once in awhile is fine. But every time is too much.

i wouldn’t say he OD’s, just gets a lean going.

but yeah, promethazine with codeine syrup, weed, coke, and x are never going to be too far from weezy

Empathy is a very useful tool. I have never jumped into a pool of glass, but I know it would hurt. Also, why do you drink? Is your life so sad that you have drink to make you happy? Or do you do it because you “like the taste”? Or, do you do it because everyone does it at a party?

I wish I could be as cool as you. You know, I have not tried meth yet, but it might be nice, sepite all the warning against it. I mean, I won’t judge drug addicts till I get doped up.

You can really throw morals out the window in a thread like this, since there are several ascetics who would consider most of the people in here to lack moral fiber (I’m not saying it’s true, just guessing how they would probably respond).

MORALS R ABSOLUTe
AND DRINKING IS BAD

I love this thread.

It is definitely not how I expected it to turn out.

I think that describes this thread.(Lol, I like the thread and fiber pun)

You’re gonna have a hard time looking down on someone who’s so far above your level (omg maybe it’s me). Lulz
