I’ve heard that some departments (e.g., history, political science) are cold and excessively bureaucratic while others (e.g., geography) are warm and cozy. Any truth to that? How about philosophy, anthropology and industrial relations?

Sorry I don’t know about that but I think that is my main fear of mcgill and something I have heard from several of my friends who go there. There is a LOT of red tape (of course, it’s Quebec) and while some faculties are lovely and warm, others are quite cold.

they are all cold

Would that be a comment about the temperature? :-p

I applied for Arts Legacy. After that, it’ll kind of be what I know then…
