For most of my life I’ve lived in a small rural town with a population of less than 4000 people. I didn’t know any Asians at all - there weren’t any. It wasn’t until I enrolled at a boarding school a year ago that I realized, every other Asian kid was from a large city or nearby suburb with completely different experiences from me.

So what about on CC? I know there are many Asians here, but how many are rural?

Asian pride! I’m not asian though…bummer And I don’t live in the south. And I don’t live in a rural zone…burn! So why did I post this…I do not know

Are you sure that there are Asians in Southern rural America? When I watch American movies, I can only see Chinese waiters in big cities. Think about it, I cannot even find any Asians in Woody Allens New York City obsessed movies. LOL

theoneo you like despair too? My favorite is “Despair”: “It is always darkest before it goes pitch black”…it is soo sick and just wrong that it is hilarious.

…why are asian immigrants settling in small towns?

…why is anyone settling in small towns?

what…is keeping people in small towns? i’ve never been to like…a really small town(i don’t think…) but i imagine them like…“main street” and then on main street there is a cinema…and a tavern…and a diner…and…walmart? haha i donno.
