Amazing Race 24 All Stars

I could tolerate Luke having a meltdown over an incredibly challenging task and the lack of an alternative IF this were the first time we’d seen him lose it on TAR. But it’s happened over and over again. I don’t know what possessed then to go for a third try when they know they aren’t a strong enough team to win, but I know I don’t want to watch them. Maybe if Luke raced with a friend or boyfriend the whole dynamic would be different?

Thats an interesting thought - him racing with someone else. I’m sure AR “asks” teams to compete because of their popularity in the past. We shouldn’t be getting on Luke and Margie for the third time round, we should be asking the question of the AR producers (and as said before, the Cowboys and Globetrotters are 3xers too. Are they going to keep competing till they win???)

Had to chuckle at the comments of Dave and Connor - ironic for two Mormons to spend their night in a club/bar. :)

I’m wondering if Rachel was too short to be able to do the glasses challenge. Seems to me you would want to be able to get well over the martini glasses and be able to control the flow - hard to do if it is above your shoulders.

Is Marge taller than Rachel?

Brendon and Rachel survive again!

Tough tasks - that dancing/spinning think looked like it would be really hard! And the sewing??? Wonder how long they were there. My D who adores Dave and Connor - well, we both do! - said last night , “I think that Connor can do any task whether it be athletic, sewing or fishing in five mins!” - he does seem to be really resourceful.

Sorry to see Margie and Luke go. I know they weren’t likely to be winners, but I have always enjoyed watching their relationship. Too bad they didn’t take the gamble on the plane, but then again, not sure they could have ran through the airport fast enough to catch the flight. Sounded like Brendon and Rachel barely made it.

I thought the train ride in Sri Lanka was very interesting. The jungle was on one side and the ocean was on the other side. The Afghanimals and the Globetrotters had the factory workers in stitches (excuse the pun) at the sewing roadblock.

I’m enjoying the tasks and challenges this season. They seem more chance oriented than strength oriented, which really opens the playing field. And i like that we’re visiting new places. Still rooting for Jet and Cord.

Liked watching the cousins and the globetrotters in the factory. They were having fun - not just getting obsessed with the task. Don’t like the country singers…but most of the other teams seem to be likable this time around…

We are watching too (although not on Sunday nights). My daughter is convinced that every team she roots for gets the ax. I am rooting for Jet and Cord but we are enjoying most everyone else except country girls too.

Not liking the country girls at all. They use people constantly and their flirting with the cowboys is just terrible. The poor guys are trying to ignore them, but they are so forceful. Hello, country girls, they are married!

Anyone still watching? I caught up last night on the last 2 episodes. I’m liking the challenges this go 'round, but the teams are sort of boring. I’m still rooting for Jet & Cord, now that Mark & Bopper aren’t involved. I would have been really cheering for them.

The cowboys have to use the express pass this week so they should finish first. I don’t think they were ever in danger of finishing in last place. Cab drivers seem to be a wild card this season.

I felt awful about the cab mix-up last week. I don’t LOVE anyone, but dislike Brandon and Rachel. I like the Globetrotters but boy did they get lucky last week.

I couldn’t believe how badly Flight Time misread the clue at the Spanish Steps. He wasn’t putting his answer into roman numerals and never caught on to the fact that he also needed to add in the date of the monument. They were very fortunate that Leo and Jamal helped them, and that they were then able to outrun the couple who finished last.

I find Rachel much more tolerable this time than her last time on TAR, but I’m still rooting for the cowboys or Dave & Connor.

Also finding Rachel more tolerable and quite like him.

We like most everyone but country girls are last.

Awww, so sad to see Flight Time & Big Easy go. While I wasn’t rooting for them to win, I really like their style.

I must have been wrong all along, but I always thought the express pass meant you went straight to the next check in, expressly passing all the tasks that leg.

I am finding Rachel less tolerable after this week. Although I do realize that editing is obviously setting her up as the villain. I just got a bad taste in my mouth when I found out that Bryan(?) had been on “Big Brother” twice before in addition to his appearances on AR. How does he go to grad school in engineering at UCLA, put up with her whining, and have a career as a serial reality show contestant all at the same time?

Nothing will ever compare with the Beekman win in my mind, though! (Loved them before Amazing Race. Loved them after Amazing Race. Actually drove out of our way to visit their store in Sharon Springs two summers ago when we were visiting colleges in the NE.) I was happy to hear them get a little recognition during last week’s episode.

Both Brendon and Rachel had been on Big Brother. I think that’s how they met. I don’t like when TAR has used teams from other CBS reality shows, like Big Brother and Survivior. I prefer contestants with no previous reality show experience.

I still follow the Beekman guys too - they have a great blog with fabulous recipes and they have done so much f their small town!!

Ugh. Really starting to get annoyed by Brachel. So happy God helped them out after they u-turned a team that was nota threat to first place - and only if they got lucky! (Rolling eyes) Dave sure was ticked off!!!

Dave and Connor will have to watch their kindness a bit - perhaps they somehow knew they weren’t at risk of being last. Help to a degree but then move on!!

It seemed to me that the globetrotters weren’t trying super hard this race. Big Easy on that donkey was priceless!!!

Well, all these teams on TAR have been on before and the Cowboys have been on three times. I don’t really care if a team has been on another show. I liked the Beekman Boys, too and was happy to hear them referenced. I actually am finding Dave to be annoying the past few legs. I’m enjoying the Afghanimals this season. They’re strong competitors and they are obviously enjoying their time on TAR.
