Have only watched the first episode so far but I also am happily pleased with things so far - AR rarely disappoints!
I think the lawyers are adorable - loved how they worked together in the cab to figure out that “vicinity” meant outside!
At first I thought the doc must be beside himself at his “blonde” but turns out he made his own mistakes.
Was painful to see the flight attendant couple leave after 4 freakin hours at the dancing spot - to only find out that the drink task was so much quicker! The guy of that couple seemed to sort of care less, but I think the woman was really disappointed.
So far I can see a few couples being favorites but the lawyers stepped out early as favorites to me. Can’t wait to watch last night’s episode!
@mamabear1234 does your provider an “on-demand” option? We have Uverse and get tons of TV shows free on-demand. The catch is you can’t fast forward through the commercials (but their seem to be less commercials) and you usually have to wait a day or two for new episodes.
Looks like it’s going to be a fun season! The first leg was certainly a difficult one for a first leg and so far, the challenges have been a good mix. The Tuskegee duo was fortunate not to have been eliminated in the first episode, and they were so far behind in the second that their incredible stupidity at the train station didn’t really matter that much. Surprised to see, so early, teams not carefully reading the d*&n clue! Come on, people. It’s the first rule of TAR and this is the 26th season, it shouldn’t have to be said.
So far, enjoying Jelani and Jenny, Harley and Jonathan and Laura and Tyler.
The doctor and his date cracked me up at the finish line on Night Two. I was hoping Team Tuskegee would stick around because they obviously were playing the game on their own terms and every line out of their mouths was funny. I like most of the teams but it’s still early. Phil seems to be more excited this season.
How about the next AR only visiting Olympic Villages? Summer…Winter…Summer…Winter. Most of the facilities are still usable. There’s a lot of cities to choose from.
So far everyone seems pretty likable. Glad to see a less likely couple winning a leg tonight, doubt they will succeed for the long haul though.
So, was the ring in the fanny pack? I can see him just saying that’s it, going to do this right now before I leave it somewhere again. Beautiful backdrop for it and smart move of Kurt and Bergen to give up the date night.
I wonder what info they got from the single people before matching them with their blind dates. In the case of Kurt and Bergen, they really blew it. Did they pair up the doctor and nurse just because of their professions? Same with the lawyers, altho at this point they seem to get along better (but according to the previews, that won’t last).
The nurse would not stop nagging during the zipline challenge! I would have been extremely annoyed. I am confusing some of the teams still. Nothing really stands out. I was glad that it was non-elimination because the flight thing didn’t seem to be their fault.
The nurse is bugging everyone at my house. There is some hope that when she watches herself it will be an “AHA!” moment. Like the lawyers. Like just about everyone.
OMG, we were all in TEARS at that wedding proposal AND the gay couple giving up their “date”. And the tears from the one over “so badly wanting a relationship like that” - that was so, so heartwarming!
We are loving this season. No kidding, that nurse needs to shut her trap! The doctor seems nice and man, he must be patient to not tell her to shut her trap! I still love the lawyers (though looks like some sparks fly next week), the Southern Cal couple,!, the Olympic couple, etc. AND the New Kids couple - LOVE THEM! SO glad they weren’t eliminated!!!
I hate when flights basically put you in or out of the race.
Yes, I think the guy especially freaked out about the fanny pack realizing the ring was in it! Wonder if Phil knew this was going to happen and on purpose kept all the couples at the pit stop.
Took no time at all to get attached to this season!
Yes, I’m pretty sure the ring was in the fanny pack. I can’t imagine the sinking feeling he must’ve felt!
I’m enjoying the season so far as well. Although I was “telling” the RN to put a sock in it! Jeeze, I sort of saw myself in her, and it was not very pretty!
The challenges are fun too. I about died laughing at the “new trend” of zipline table waiting! I’ve done both…but not together!!!
Finally got around to watching this week’s episode, and I have to say that I am finding it interesting watching the dynamics of the blind date couples the further into the race they get. Hayley continued her path to extreme unlikeability, with Jenny a close second. Sorry to see Jonathan and Harley go, but they didn’t really have much of a chance with such a difference in departure times and not making that first flight.
Yes, agreed sorry to see the BSB team go - that speed bump was kinda of ridiculous - I don’t understand - sometimes they are so simple, sometimes quite hard.
It was a choppy episode for me, hard to keep track of. Lawyer chick needs to chill out a bit. The blonde gay couple seems to be making fast “friends”. They keep insisting there is no attraction - wonder if that will hold! Good for them for a win!
Admit I’m not a cat person - that cat task was kind of creepy!!!
I’m waiting for the RN or the lawyer to really upset other teams so they become the outcasts. The doctor was being chewed out by his blind date and he turned and gave his photographer a sly smirk.
Finally caught up last night. I was really bummed that Harley & Jonathan are out. I really liked them both.
The lawyer (female) needs to take a pill or two, as does the RN, who I initially liked.
The young “we’re just friends” couple are growing on me, and their joy at the mat was (for me) making me also wonder if they will start t grow into something more than just friends.
I feel about birds the way the lawyer (female) feels about cats. If there had been loose birds, I would have been sitting still as a statue! That 100 year egg seemed disgusting. Like a jelly egg. EWWWWW.
I’ rooting for the Olympians. Female lawyer and RN started out as such nice people, but now they seem to have developed the eye of the tiger - in a bad way.
