Amazing Race 28

patsmom, I rationalize not knowing any of them by knowing I am not their target audience. The brothers made very costly mistakes 2 weeks in a row. I had higher hopes for them. I do like Tyler and his partner, they seem to be having a good time.

I had liked the brothers but they seemed very low energy this week and made unfortunate mistakes. Not sure who to root for yet. The two detours seemed so different in timing. Maybe they thought the throwing would be harder.

Memo to future TAR participants:

Don’t brag about your Mensa-level IQ’s if there’s even a remote chance that what will cost you the race is not a bad cab driver, or even a physical challenge, but your inability (a) to find a ticket counter in an airport and (b) to read and understand a simple clue.

Obviously book smart and street smart are 2 different things. I was yelling at the TV for him to give the bags to the woman sitting there.

Well, you obviously weren’t yelling loud enough.

Some of these contestants are a little slow on the uptake. The flag thing… 8-}

Giving them the benefit of the doubt . . . perhaps the pattern of the flags isn’t so obvious when you’re in the middle looking up at them?

On the other hand, do you think they’ve figured out yet what country Switzerland is in? Sigh . . . .

I did enjoy last nights episode. I am finally starting to figure out who the different teams are. I feel like if the models had not spent so much time feeling sorry for themselves they would have had a chance.

“What country is Switzerland in?” Good grief.

I have a photo of my Ds on that bench!

The Swiss Army knife task was very cool.

Such a beautiful city!

I like Tyler and Corey, and Zach and Rachel, Burnie and Ashley, and Dana and Matt.

Not a fan of having everyone run from the train to the mat.

I think my favorites are similar to @alwaysamom - have always liked Tyler and Corey and have grown to like Burnie and Ashley - they seem to treat each other very well!

That scene in the airport where all the couples were being mobbed by fans - this folks, is the power of social media!

I did tell myself that I should go back and re-read each couple’s social media gig - I think it would mean more to me now that I’ve got to know them a bit.

Fun episode. The French Alps were gorgeous. Struggled a little to figure out who was who when they were all bundled up. I think the frisbee guys are fun and Tyler and Corey have great attitudes.

Watching last night’s episode. I don’t think I could do that.

What a great episode. I like when it’s both physical and mental, and I found all the teams likeable this time, and the top teams seem to have really bonded.

Loved the scenery and the tasks, although was very linear with no real chance for teams to move up in the pack. especially liked how all the teams were so thrilled to be on the race and to have the opportunity to do these tasks. It seems that in the last several seasons all the teams complete the scary stuff with only a little reluctance. In the past, a team may not have been able to get up the slope or even get the clue.

I enjoyed this episode, too. I admire all of them for performing those incredibly scary tasks. Yikes. I can’t imagine being faced with that. I agree that it’s a bit too bad that it didn’t allow for much change in position but that will likely be corrected in the next episode. Did I hear correctly that it won’t be back until April 1?

@alwaysamom, yes, March Madness takes over Friday nights. I am enjoying this season more than I thought based on the first episode. Loved the scenery in this episode, and laughed at how often my husband said, “No. No way. Never doing that!”

Falling on the run-up to parasailing resulted in some position changes. Also, I think if more people had chosen the pup tent task there may have been more changes. But they seldom make teams do one task or the other. Sometimes they limit the number on any given task, but for whatever reason only one team did the tent thing, which made it difficult to determine whether they were good or bad at it. No comparison.

The beauty, the challenges, the attitude of the racers - one of the best episodes of AR EVER! I can’t believe the high level of stress and “danger” those challenges were! Unbelievable.

What an amazing day for all those competitors - even the ones who lost left on a high note it seems.

Watching them make Armenian bread was cool!

An interesting leg! The scenery at the Temple of Garni was spectacular.
