I don’t know about the family edition - what’s that?

I wouldn’t want a ‘celebrity’ version. I’m tired of the tired ex-celebrities. They’re already on enough shows. Besides, part of the fun of TAR is that they have regular people of various age groups and backgrounds on it which I think most of us can identify with and enjoy what they’re doing vicariously.

After the around the world shows it seems that a US only one would be much less interesting.

They did a season that involved 4 person family teams - the travel was within the US. Several years ago. It was fun to watch as a family.

I wouldn’t want “c” list celebs - you’re right there is enough of THAT on TV !

You callin me a slow poke??!! Weather is too nice to spend inside with much tv on. We are lucky to get n an hour of TV a night this time of year !!!

abasket, we loved the family season, too. The Paolo family made us laugh, they were so funny. The only thing I’d do differently is to not allow young children. The Gaghan kids were way too young to be on a show like this. And that evil Weaver family, the team everyone disliked. A fun season.

I loved the family season too! While it did lack on exotic scenery, the dynamics and personalities were top notch. I even loved the Weavers lol! Good TV.

I would still love a season of “first eliminated” teams. It might also be interesting to have a season of “2nd to the finish line” teams. What about a season of 100% tasks that had been done before that were tricky the first time (like that haystack one). Celebs would have to be 100% for charity, in my opinion. Might be interesting.

Saw the TAR flags at Toronto City Hall today. I couldn’t stick around and watch but rumor has it that three teams were rappelling down the side of the building as TAR Canada moves close to the finale. The show starts on July 15th!

Alwaysamom, do you know what night TAR Canada will air?? We have a cottage in Canada and would love to catch an episode or two if we are there that night.

abasket, have you been able to see any episodes of TAR Canada? Its been fun, with the usual array of likeable and unlikeable teams, interesting and beautiful stops, crazy challenges, and the usual amount of luck, and stupidity, including a team that was eliminated while holding an express pass. :)

We happened upon the last 10 mins or so of an episode one Saturday night when we were in Canada. Maybe a repeat? They were searching for the pitstop from high above a building in Toronto (?). Have to say I thought that the Canadian “Phil” was not as engaging as our Phil! But it was really fun, just for that few mins to see AR in action again!
