Amazing Race

Bye bye, Kelly and Christy…hated them. Both of them…love Toni & Dallas, and so far am rooting for a mom & kid team to win…cannot stand Terrance & Sarah, I want to sew a pair of gonads on Terrance! And she just coddles him…ACK! If she were my daughter I’d have one serious sit down with her. I do however appreciate her linguistic skills. And Phil’s dad is adorable! So is Phil btw…now to go check out TelevisionWithoutPity.

I also love Toni and Dallas. Because I love them, they will not win. My favorites never win.

TelevisionWithoutPity is an awesome site. I never feel like I wasted my time watching a bad show, because I can go there and read the snarkiest commentary ever, and it makes watching something bad worthwhile. When I read an episode commentary on TelevisionWithoutPity, I feel like I am reading Entertainment Weekly, which is the smartest magazine with the best writing that I have seen in its genre.

The forums on TelevisionWithoutPity provide a welcome respite from the political forum here- sometimes I get depressed reading all the political stuff.

So now I have just endorsed the Amazing Race, TelevisionWithoutPity and Entertainment Weekly all in one post. If you are not familair with any of these, check them out and enjoy. :-)

Cowboys are opposite, AR tonight. What to do, what to do …

Oh, oh, oh…what an interesting turn of events tonight. My favorites are out now. I have no allegiance to any team now.

Now I’ll just watch to see who does win.

I had to miss most of it. Still wondering how Dandrew caught up to Toni and Dallas. I know TandD lost the passports, but were they in another country and couldn’t leave or what?

Youdon’tsay- when they lost the passports, they also lost all their money, and the time it took them to beg for money really cost them. Plus, who knows what would have happened when it was revealed that they had no passports for the next leg.

I actually got tears in my eyes. I loved their calm and cool approach to the race, and their real appreciation for each other.

Not really rooting for anyone now. I’ll watch just because I’m invested at this point.

As soon as I saw the come on ads and then saw Dallas realize he left his bag in the car, I knew it was them and it was over. Sad! AND I knew I would get an email this morning from CC lamenting the fact :-). Only one more week, I wish this was on more often…although not after sports so it’s delayed!

I’m disappointed that Toni and Dallas are out. They had run the race well up until last night, and then made some bad mistakes. Aside from losing the money and passports (which in and of itself wouldn’t have knocked them out), I thought it was Toni’s weakest leg of the race. I had a bad feeling when she made Dallas do the Roadblock. She should have done that one. He not only wasn’t able to recognize Stalin or Lenin, he didn’t read the clue properly which would have made the statues easier to identify, and then he was so far off with the number of each that he couldn’t get his next clue. Several times! This cost them a tremendous amount of time, and it was only through Tina’s kindness that he ever got out of that antique shop.

Then Toni made the poor decision to not take a taxi to the park, and they had to then go back and start over, asking strangers for the $$. I haven’t really been keeping track of the split of roadblocks for them but I had the sense that it was fairly evenly divided. Maybe I was wrong and Dallas had to do this one? I’m sorry to see them go, and even more sorry to see Dan and Andrew in the final three. They are, without a doubt, the most incompetent team that has ever run the race.

Toni was so winded and tired and thirsty before the roadblock I don’t think she could do it. The end of the race is where most people make the most mistakes, because they are so worn out.

Yes, it seemed that Toni was beginning to peter out. Maybe she hadn’t been sleeping well.

Also agree that DanDrew has been unbearable to watch due to their incompetencies. There were several teams I would have cheered on before those two. Watching them has become an episode of Laurel and Hardy run the Amazing Race! Although I cannot lie, I laughed a LOT watching Dan trying to do the marching a week ago. He looked like a 3 year old trying to do it. i’ll be disappointed if they win, they certainly haven’t earned it.

That dance instructor was sure easy going on DanDrew… I do think that they are editing the footage to make them look like clowns - like all reality shows, what we see is far from real. No way that Dan is as bad as they make him out to be.

I was sorry to see the mom and son go — How in the heck can you lose your passports and money - I know when I am traveling internationally, neither ever leaves my front pocket.

Anyone but a bit disappointed that there was no finale “upset”?

Secretly I wanted Ken & Tina to win. I guess in a way the did ;).

I noticed that Toni & Dallas were not at the finish line, and did some research, you can read along here: [Amazing Race Community Message Board - CBS.com](<a href=“CBS TV Network Primetime, Daytime, Late Night and Classic Television Shows”>CBS TV Network Primetime, Daytime, Late Night and Classic Television Shows)

And another little tidbit from Dallas:
[reality blurred + Dallas is dating Starr, missed the finale because of lost passport, which was returned](Dallas is dating Starr, missed the finale because of lost passport, which was returned – reality blurred)

Although I would have been happy to see either Nick and Starr, or Ken and Tina win, I wasn’t disappointed with the outcome. Nick and Starr ran a great race, with 7 first place finishes, which is probably a record. They’re one of the best teams I’ve seen in many seasons of TAR. It’s nice that now Dallas can move to NY to be with Starr.

Looking forward to the next season already!

Wow, lots of good info there. I missed last week’s episode. That would really tick me off! And I wondered why Toni and Dallas weren’t at the finish line. I hate to hear about the heavy editing that happens. Makes the show less fun for me.

I wanted Nick and Starr to win once Toni and Dallas were eliminated. The Spanglers were on Regis and Kelly this morning, and Dallas and Toni were offstage. They are, indeed, still dating. I didn’t realize she was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. And, because this is cc, everyone should know Nick went to NYU and Starr to TCU.

Dallas and Starr are DATING??!?? Wow, love on the Amazing Race!!

I loved both those teams, they seemed so kind and supportive of each other. I was glad to see Nick and Starr win, but sad for Toni and Dallas.

My college age son watched our Tivo’s episodes and said that he and I should do it. I don’t know if I could be as patient as Toni, I think I would have flipped my lid when he lost the money and passports. That is one of my travel nightmares that wakes me up in a cold sweat!!

For those who love this show (like me) I hope you know that Amazing Race 14 is about to begin…This Sunday night…see you at the starting (and finish) line!

Just saw the Amazing Race commercials tonight while watching the new Survivor. Finally, something to look forward to on Sunday nights again.

YEA!! (10 char)

We’ll be watching!

We’ll be visiting S1 at college starting Sunday, and he’s having us to his house for dinner. THEY DON’T OWN A TV!!! S2 and I will have to watch it later on the internet. Looking forward, though, to the rest of the Race!
