Amazon order shipped - but I did not place order!

:-) I’m hoping the prize is a Hawaiian vacation!

If an actual order was placed by accident or by overzealous third parties, I agree with the above advice to remove your credit card information from the Amazon profile. I’d rather type in the numbers, than have to deal with cancellations.

We’ve received a number of emails supposedly from Amazon, saying our order was shipped, and “click here” to verify. So far, we haven’t been fooled. BUT, we order so little from Amazon, that we typically assume it is a phishing scheme. If you order a lot, this could be very confusing.

We’ve also received a number of emails supposedly from FedEx saying they could not deliver a package, and to check the given website for a receipt number, then go to our “nearest” FedEx office for pickup. We assume these too are phishing schemes. No notices are ever left at the door. No delivery name, address or FedEx locations are included in the email. Haven’t clicked on those either – but again we’re not expecting any FedEx deliveries. I’m guessing we’ll see more of these around the holidays, so be careful.
