Amazon Prime Day July 8-11

This year I bought a bra and two pairs of underwear. I don’t have a local store anymore but I remember the early days of the frenzy of getting the kids dropped off at school and hitting the first morning of the sale. First stop was the kids department where I’d run into a lot of friends. The last few years we did get some baby equipment but we are all set.
Our Amazon packages have been arriving with no issues. We get delivery usually UPS or USPS from Amazon.
My Nordstrom ordered has already arrived. My daughter got her order in just two days. What I’ve found with Nordstrom is that delivery times are ok over the map.

Even though I got 3 different delivery notices that my Prime deliveries would be here on Thurs, they all arrived at 6 pm on Wed. I went downstairs to take a shower and notice an Alexa light blinking, so back upstairs I went to find all 5 things I orders (TV and puzzle table in big boxes, other small things all together).

Now I’m just missing the vitamins I ordered through my health care OTC benefit (the empty envelope I received on Monday).

Are you saying you don’t need a $600 CAT sweater? (see Worst Dressed: When Ugly AND expensive Meet thread)

Laughing hard at the cat sweater comment - spot on! That’s the reason I stopped poking into the designer clearance section. Shapeless, head-scratching ugly clothes and shoes! Call me old, but I miss the days when I could get a slinky pencil skirt, a cashmere cardigan, or a classic trench at a nice discount. Who wears this crap they stock nowadays?

Phew. Found something outside of the kids department: short sleeve wool sweater that is not cropped above the belly button. Ordered!
