Do you mean Prime or Black Friday? I think I will look next year at Black Friday only because there was so much bad press that they would be stupid to not improve it or drop it.
We all know that they have read many of the words or even posts that are on here much alone on facebook and so on. But that is OK if they just make it better.
As far as Prime–that is a lifeline for me. I buy more at Amazon, except for food and gas, that any other store in my life.
I love Prime and when it is an add on I just do not buy it. I know this is tracked and that super OK.
Enjoying everyone’s comments about their experiences -
Also, learned that Alibaba rumored to be backing jet.com, which I didn’t know about until I read it hear.
I need to go to bed so I will stop buying stuff!
Cordoba 3/4 acoustic guitar gig bag
Woolrich plaid flannel PJs (for quick trips to the grocery store )
Terence Blanchard CD - A Tale of God’s Will (NOLA trumpeter)
still to buy . . .
Sennheiser head phones
case for headphones
midi keyboard with drum pads
I had some supplements delivered at 8:30 this morning. I was sitting down to coffee and the dog came in from out back with a bark like someone was out front. I opened my email and there was a message that my Amazon package has been delivered. BAM! there is was on the front porch.
^^ It is like buying stuff from Neiman… It takes tem a week to pack it up, then a week to deliver! Saks, OTOH, amazes me - the package is out of the door a couple of hours after I place the order!
Got more random crap from Amazon… I’m all set for my marathon training!!
Received the GreenWorks blower I ordered for Mr. B on Prime Day. Since the blower has a Li ion battery, it had to travel slowly. Mr B tried it out right out of the box. It literally blew my cats away!
Just great (NOT!) My BB&B comforter left Georgia on Thursday then tracks through Texas and New Mexico. It was last seen in Arizona on Saturday and I’m hoping that it wasn’t stuck behind that bridge collapse on the way to California. I’m feeling like they should have sent it through the Panama canal and it might have been faster.
Actually you can simply add the promo code “free6” to get that “prized” six month membership and discover … how little there is to buy! I wonder how all the complaining voices who decreed the Amazon 15th of July a bust with only “crap” to buy feel about this smorgasbord of products?
Granted they just started and perhaps the products choices are still limited, but I fail to see what could be attractive in buying products that are poorly described on a site that does not seem to offer any great bargain, and offers an abysmal shipping policy (in comparison to others.)
Perhaps it will be good for 10 bucks set of undies and be helpful for people living in the boonies, but I have to say that if there was one colossal yawner that this … jet.com takes the cake!
Will check in a few months when the Thanksgiving bloodbath starts. Chances are that they won’t be around!
So far, pretty disappointed. Tried to find some protein bars I’ve had trouble sourcing locally and only found one manufacturer in one flavor. The worst part is that most items I looked at did not have any nutritional info listed. It defies logic that a food product wouldn’t include a copy of the nutritional label or even a list of ingredients. I’m also finding that the search function is not great.
That was actually a joke based on the “casual thread”. It is actually my son who goes everywhere in them. They are supposed to arrive today, I’ll report back on how they turn out.
The undies would have been cheaper, and perhaps better packaged than the amazon ones!
Haven’t bought a thing from jet yet, but Amazon needs competition to get its act together. Glad to see there is a 6 mo free membership, and that some went to the trouble of finding that
I can’t say that I’m crazy about some of the Amazon business practices RE their suppliers and competitors, but from a consumer stand point I have had only good experiences. Nothing has ever been late, broken or not as described.
I’ve had late packages (not even shipped when it was supposed to be delivered) and not as described, and a vendor contact me because they didnt have what we ordered. They all were resolved, but they did happen.
