Amazon scam?

My mom, every day this week, has gotten a package she didn’t order from
Amazon. Random stuff – a cheap watch, lotion. No invoice, no charges to her card that we know of. How is this going to come back to haunt her?

It won’t. The sender is most likely shipping actual goods so they can create “legitimate” feedback.

There was a scam last Spring where folks got seeds from China they didn’t order. It was a little bit terrifying to read about. Don’t know what happened.
I’d be concerned if I got something I didn’t order. But NOT to a huge degree.

I got some glass Christmas tree ornaments I didn’t order. They were pretty. But we moved, and I haven’t come across them again.

My daughter got a box of absolutely random stuff this week from Amazon. After some digging and talking to customer service she figured out that the tracking embedded in the package was for something else (and fairly expensive) she’d ordered instead- they mailed her a bunch of junk instead of her item. Amazon handled it quickly and efficiently for her to get a refund. A few months ago I received an Amazon package with something random in it. Amazon determined I wasn’t charged for it and never would be, but they also wouldn’t take it back. I donated it as it was something I wouldn’t use and didn’t need.
