AMDA question

Hello! I am going to audition for AMDA so I can start Fall 2011, but I just have three questions and I will be so greatful to anyone who can help.

1) The audition date for Atlanta (where I live) is in July..... is this the audition date for people wanting to enter fall 2011? This isnt made clear on the website and it seems super early.

2) Can I send a video auditon?

3) I want to do musical theatre. But Im confused.... what is the difference between the 2 year intergrated program and the 4 year BFA?

Please help

Thankyou :)

You may want to jump over to the MT forum since there has been a lot of discussion about AMDA there. Here's one thread to start with:
;/a>

You can do the 2 year program in New York or LA, but the BFA program is only offered in LA. My D has a friend in the LA program right now and he loves it there.

Good luck with your research!

My D auditioned and was accepted into the 4 year MT BFA program in LA although she ultimately chose to go elsewhere. She was accepted back in March and they told her she had the option to begin in June and do the summer semester. The fall semester does not start until October. My D had questions and talked with the admissions office several times and they were very helpful. That audition date may be for those that want to enter in Fall 2010 or Spring 2011. You should check with admissions.

When D auditioned at the school in LA there was an information session that explained the differences between the 2 and 4 year programs. Good luck on your audition.

I just have a few questions I'm not sure about. I just signed up online for and audition for April 15, they didnt send any confirmation email, so am I a part of an audition now? Is that all I needed to do?

And also do I need to fille out a application before my audition?

AMDA is very confusing, I wish they would like have confirmation links.

Call them tomorrow and ask.
