American Eagle polos

AE polos sizes are perfect, I have a polo from there and it’s size is simply amazing. However, I do not know if the polo I bought was vintage or classic fit. Are the classic fit size the same as polos at other place or no?

I love AE and I own alot of stuff from them and vintage fit is suppose to be a little slimmer. Classic fit is like any other polos.

I think most clothing brands have their own sizes. A size that fits in one store chances are won’t fit in another.

Vintage Fit is similar to “Muscle Fit” at other stores…Classic is just the more basic looser fit…

Most stores have classic fit and some have both…ur better off jus going and trying stuff on…cuz every store is different.

ae polos are much shorter than most other brand polos, best bet is to just go into the store and try them on

AE’s “Vintage Fit” is their response to A&F’s “Muscle Fit”. While I think A&F’s fits better, the “Vintage Fit” gives you a much better fit than classic.

Classic fit is basically the polos that your dad wears–they fit loose. If you’re wondering about AE Classic Fit, the last time I got one of their Classics was in 2004, but I don’t think they’ve changed much (although A&F did redo their solid polos over a year ago, so the fits do change over time). In comparison to A&F Classic (which no longer exists), it’s about the same. I’d say it runs a bit bigger than RL, but only by a little bit.

When looking for polos, you should try them on and find a style and brand that fits you best. This is why I am so into A&F muscle fit polos–I have found they fit me better than any other type. However, I know they don’t fit one of my friends right, so it’s all a matter of fit and your own taste.

God they need subforum for all the preppy people or something

I use AE cashmere sweaters and polos as my ‘happy rags’

AE is not preppy

i disagree. :]

EVERY company has different cuts for it’s polos. If you find one that fits you well, forget what people say about the brand, just keep buying those.

AE is fake prep, gosh, there’s so many topics out there on this subject i’m surprised you don’t know.

If it’s preppy or not, there’s enough about clothes. There is more to college life.

There should be a subforum for people who are so worried about what to wear and how to keep it from being stolen…

fusionice were you referring to me when you said “im surprised you dont know”? Because I do know but the point is who the hell cares, it looks preppy, most people I know think it’s preppy. I dont know anyone who wears J Crew or stuff like that.

Clothing DOES matter, at least if you’re trying to attract certain people.

Example: I would NEVER date a girl who wears crap from Hot Topic. She’s got to be preppy for me.

Also, it’s good to make a good impression on the bigwigs at the college. Most adults seem to prefer people who dress nice (polo shirts, khakis, etc) over the people who look like punks.

well first of all i dont wanna associate with people who judge me solely on my attire. but also, i’m friends with people who are preppy and people who dress punk (i.e. Hot Topic). I guess I’m just not a snob.

I absolutely HATE polo shirts. I cringe when I put them on for golfing. Most disgusting style evar!

when it comes to polos j.crew is the best man. no silly logos like the pony/eagle/croc/seagull and the best feeling material esp. their vintage ones. and very good price too when they’re on sale for 19.99 or 9.99$ a pop. if you’re looking for the slimmer ones, they have the “tailored-fit” ones also. as a matter of fact, i think j.crew just owns in everything. their quality is very upper scale but the prices are still reasonable.

wow mactech, it’s nice that we can all see past the surface and get to know the real person inside…sure makes this world a less superficial and bigoted place.

I apologize if I sounded offensive in my previous GreenDayFan, that was not my intent. After I read it I realized how you read can be offensive. And even though AE is not preppy, I still like the store, I have lots of clothes from there.
