The top-2, Clark and Tyanna, did NOT shine in round 1, imo.
I’m starting to get a worried about Clark. His first song for me was good but not great, and that’s two weeks running. Hope he knocks it out of the park in round 2. Why has he abandoned his self-accompaniment? He is not that great a performer and needs his guitar or piano as a crutch.
I thought Tyanna gave one of her weaker performances in round 1. Terrible song choice. What kind of artist does she want to be… isn’t now the time to show us?
These 2 were going to salvage a season of subpar talent and now what they are giving us is very forgettable.

I didn’t actually watch last night but checked out the results. (I was a nice mom and let kids 2 and 3 and girlfriend enjoy Survivor during the actual time it aired!).

Clark has been near “perfect” in terms of having good performances compared to his teammates this season. I think he’s still batting near 100% comparatively. I think there was a lot on the line for the contestants last night - the top 5 tour. NOT when you want to go out of the picture.
Maybe they will relax a bit now for next week.

I don’t think Clarks gamble paid off, with either song. Of course, he just has to be better than one other person.
I liked Nick and Raybon also tonight. Jax’s second song was not great, she seemed over dramatic, off key, and fake. Will be interesting to see who makes top three. I have no clue.
I did not recognize Russell Crowe at first. He looked like he would rather be in the dentist’s chair than having to be up on stage plugging his new movie.
Frontrunner Clark was terrible in round 1. What a poor song choice, taking on Stevie Wonder. His huge lead is shrinking…
Jax wasn’t great but she was better than Clark. Did Borchetta really use the names Jax and Pink in the same sentence?! Hope Pink doesn’t see that segment.

Tyanna deserved going home after her horrible performances last week. I didn’t think it could get any worse tonight, but it did!
Not raving about Rayvon in round 1 but really liked him in round 2.
Clark was a fool not to take the advice of his mentors, who basically told him NOT to sing his round 2 song. I really like Clark but I thought it was really unfair to the other performers to give him so much air time after his round 2 song.
Jax should have performed her round 2 song at the piano. I think when she accompanies herself it helps with her pitch.
Nick had 2 solid performances. Agree with those of you who think Clark and Rayvon were the strongest tonight. Clark has allowed others to climb back into the competition.
