I’m going to start hitting the mute button on both JLo’s and Keith’s comments and only listen to Harry. Too many times tonight JLo uses the words “beautiful” and/or “amazing”. Keith’s 2-word theme of the night, for the weak performances (which were somewhat plentiful), was “song choice”. Yes, there were poor song choices but that was just one of many issues to mention in his critiques of the weakest performances.
I also thought the comments were pretty pathetic. Not well thought out at all.

It does not work any better than an accordion. The girl will probably survive but she is not that great. The boys ran circles around the girls. If the format were one on one boys vs girls, it could have been 9 boys going through with 3 girls.
Agreeing with ziggi! I think AI should drop the even number of girls and boys and just the best singers. It’s a travesty that they are going to cut men who ran circles around those girls. What a disappointing night.

My thoughts exactly about some talented guys being cut to fill the quota of girls.

Regarding the judges, it really has seemed pointless this week. It would seem that they were directed to not be too harsh and generally they weren’t unless it was an absolutely awful performance - which there were some!
Wonder if the contestants were given much guidance this week or if they were more on their own? Maybe they don’t give much guidance at this point and wait till the top 12.
Did they mention (since I wasn’t able to see the end) how/when they will announce who is being eliminated???
I think next week Abasket. I’m thinking they will do the elimination like DTWS. Announce who is still in and then will sing. No elimination shows this year.
Well, I guess I mostly agree with the top 8 with the exception of one. Several I am indifferent about.
I wasn’t surprised by the results, but I was disappointed with one, also. It will be interesting to see who made it through after tonight.

Wow, I’m so not happy! The first 4 - all of them are throwaways IMO. The 2nd four, better. I CANNOT believe that Riley did not make it. That’s a travesty. He was probably one of the most current artists they have - or had. IMO a loss not to have him. Savion should have made it over a couple of those others.
Hated this format of not finding out who goes till the end. I was tempted to fast forward, see who left THEN watch the performances. How nerve wracking for those waiting and how unnatural to go from that stress to jump on the stage and perform!
Agree that the first three were meh.
I had been waiting for Savion to comeback and win it all since he was the last one eliminated after Hollywood week last year. I’m extremely disappointed. And I’m going to stew and pout about this for a while now.
Having Aretha open the show is all I needed regardless of what came next. Love tonight’s theme-- Motown!

Daniel and Mark were terrible.
Rayvon only so-so.
Adam reminds me of a singing comedian, with an emphasis on comedy.
Clark… contender! Vocals, musicality, performance-- even if he wasn’t at his best. I thought that Harry and Keith both gave him some good feedback.
Nick-- somewhat disappointing. Not on par with some of the other guys. Harry mistakenly over-praised him, imo.
Qaasim-- a little over-the-top but I really liked him, 2 weeks in a row! My favorite guy so far tonight. Good song choice.
Quentin-- He sounded more Reggae than Motown but I like him.
After seeing which guys stayed and which ones went home I only see 3 guys contending at this point: Clark, Qaasim, and Quentin. I’m still trying to figure out how Daniel, above all others, is still around?
I agree about Daniel. I can’t believe he made it past the first audition. His performance was laughable–that choreography looked so completely unnatural for him. I love Clark, even though I don’t think this was his best performance, and I like Rayvon. Qaasim and Quentin are very entertaining. I would like to see them do a ballad so I can really hear their voices. I will miss Michael, but I do think he had one of the weakest performances last week.
Can’t believe that Savion and Riley don’t make it and we will have to listen to some really sub par girls tomorrow. Don’t like the way it’s set up, guys v. girls.
Not getting the Daniel love but guess they are looking for the youngster vote. He is not in the same league as the rest of the men.
Breaking News! There WILL be a Wildcard! Apparently this will happen next week. Could they also have a “trade one back” night?? 
Rayvon is a nice guy but is sort of lounge/cruise boat singer for me. I think that many/most agree that Daniel and Adam were true MISTAKES and now dead weight on the boys team. It was painful watching Daniel perform.
Totally agree with above, Clark is the best, What is Daniel still doing there. He is too young. Eventually he will be really good, but feel like his voice is still changing. Riley and Savion should have gone through before Daniel and Adam. I am voting for Clark all the way though.
I don’t really have a favorite girl. All the screaming, giggling and jumping around was annoying, too.
Not one of those girls I’d bother to cast a vote for. Seriously, I’m having some huge problems with this crew.
The show set up. The contestants are too hyped after finding out they made it that they cannot focus on the performance - they are just a ball of overhyped excitement.
GUYS. I SWEAR Harry is DRUGGED!!! He is SO not like himself! He looks out of it and sounds out of it. Like he’s reading from a script. RELEASE THE REAL HARRY!!!

And that one girl in the black dress near the end - did she borrow her dress from JLo’s wardrobe ??? CLE-VAGE!!!
Time to get out of Detroit. Holding out hope that going back to Hollywood will bring some good back to the show.
Sorry that Katherine did not make it. None of those girls should prevent a guy from getting the Wildcard spot IMO.
