Memorizing lyrics really seems to throw some people for a loop.
Glad Wade Cota was sent through even though his performance was a complete mess. He is really starting to grow on me with that unique, gravely voice of his and the “angst” that undoubtedly is a result of his tragic upbringing.
I was disappointed with the solo auditions overall and, except for Unexpected Vibe, the group numbers were a complete mess. Tonight can only be an improvement…

I cannot watch The Voice audition round. The “maybe maybe maybe I’ll push it” hovering over the button makes me insane. I can’t believe anyone can stand it. Ah well, that what makes horse races, as my mom would say.
I watched AI tonight. I love all the red-headed boys!
I liked a lot of the singers. I’ll actually be glad when the crowd gets smaller so I have a better chance of remembering their names.
I feel like AI has paralleled college admissions - things have gotten significantly more competitive over time!
We watched this show as a family when ds was growing up. Eventually grew weary of it after 7 or 8 years, but I am thoroughly enjoying the talent this year.

I think that Margie girl is this year’s version of Katie Turner except a lot cooler.
Juan Pablo is about as cheesy as they come. I hope he doesn’t last long.

Enjoyed Walker Burroughs so much more than his first audition. Great song choice. Liked Uche better, but still think he is too stylized and way over the top. He does not need to do all those vocal gyrations, imo. I still do NOT get the Alejandro and Alyssa Raghu love.Wish Eddie Island and Alejandro would have sung Covers. Singing Originals kind of backfired, particularly at this stage of the competition. Madison Vandenberg probably did the right thing singing an Adele Cover at the “last minute”. I really love the Country artists this season— Laci and Riley, Laine and Wade— in particular.
I don’t remember seeing Ashley in Hollywood at all. Maybe because I couldn’t remember any names. She’s the one who auditioned at the piano, right?

Her solo was not shown at all. But she was seen in Room 1 with Johanna Jones, Alejandro Aranda, Uché Ndubizu, Laci Booth, etc.So, yeah, she made the top 40.
